Why do you have to be 17 to get in?

ok so im 15 & theres this singer that i really like and hes coming to this resturant type place and i really want to see him but u have to be 17 to get in...i dont get it...like i would understand if it was 21 for drinking reasons...but y 17???

Probably because they dont want a bunch of annoying teenagers in the building. Not saying you are annoying, but some of your peers probably are, and they want to avoid that.

Well maybe you could try talking to the manger.

Many clubs have this rule, Any one under 17 is still considered young and if something happened they could be charged with contributing  to the delinquency or  the corruption of a minor.

Might be the same reason why you need to be 17 to see an R rated movie.  Maybe this singer has a lot of profianty in their music and the restaurant owner wants to cover his or her ground to make sure they don't get in trouble? They have these rules for some reason.

What I suggest is to maybe look up and see where else this singer is singing and see if they are in any other place close by that doesn't have this rule!
