How insulting! Say your graduate from high school at 18, from college at 22, you work for two years and want to take a cruise for your enjoyment and relaxation. But you can't. At least not with Carnival, because they require you to stay in the same room with someone 25 years old or more if you are not yet 25. I can understand 21 because of US drinking laws; that's the case with Royal Caribbean. But why 25 for Carnival? Exceptions are married people and people in the military -- they can sail on their own if they're under 21. But if you're a vibrant young single working professional, noooo way. In my opinion, this is crazy, especially when their main competitor is more sensible, and probably gets all the business that Carnival drives away due to this craziness. What could possibly be the rationale behind this? Keep in mind that Royal Caribbean does no such thing, so it must not be a legal issue. What's the difference between a 24-year-old and a 25-year old? This is insane.
