Why do you have to go 35 to 40 miles away to be treated by a dentist when there is one in your area within 3 m

It could be one of two reasons.  First, your insurance is a PPO plan and the dentist 35-40 miles away is in network with your plan.  Or second possibility is, it's your choice to drive that far in order to be treated by a high quality provider.  If you are limited to who you can go to due to your insurance, the plan you have probably is not a good one for the dental providers in your area.  Many in my area have such low reimbursement, that I would never sign up for them no matter how many patient's are in my geographic area.  Bottom line, it's a business decision each practitioner makes.

my dentist is literally right around the corner from my house....i walk takes 3 minutes...but im scared and have a phobia so i try not to lol
