  1. So you don't go flying across the airplane when they hammer on the brakes.

  2. because if a wheel falls off you're gonna get a broken nose.

  3. For safety related issue-perhaps a sudden turn or stop.

  4. because if the plane needs to make a sudden stop on the runway, or in the taxi lanes, it can happen, or if it needs to speed up for some reason, and there have been cases where taxiing planes have hit other planes.

(And overall, its just to make sure nothing happens to you)

    Hope this helped

  5. so you dont die

  6. because the plane may stop suddenly or make an abrupt turn.  they request that for safety.

  7. For your safety in the event of a sudden stop because you would suffer more severe injuries when that large piece of equipment had to stop, the force of all that weight would snap your neck.

  8. you never know when something goes wrong one of the buttons might break then you crash into the airport!!

    they might stop really quickly

    the pilot might be drunk

  9. I used to fly single engine airplane. Even so, the wing span is huge. On a commercial airliner, the wingspan is even larger and the pilot may not see everything till the last minute. That means there's a strong possibility that he may have to slam on the brakes.

And the pilot don't want you to slam your face into the seat in front of you and sue.

    Good luck...
