I hear many things about your country and i want to learn but except some people the only thing you do is insulting me.

My intention is to learn about your country because i see people burnt cars in France so i wanted to learn why.

I had problems when i visited France, so i wanted to ask why there are problems but you were very insulting to me.

I was thinking that in France there is freedom of speech but you only insulted me.

There is only one girl who answered my questions thanks to her. But other answers were very aggressive.

I am sorry to see that.

  1. LEARN ABOUT WHAT COUNTRY?!?!?! FRANCE OR THE

    U.S?

  2. Some people travel to other country and have a nice journey but some people, unfortunately, have bad experience. Everywhere in the world is the same, with good or bad, rude or polite people.

Parisien always have been stereotyped as rude and the English even stereotype French as smelly and arrogant. There is this rumour that I've been hearing for ages that the French will ignore you if you speak English. That's not true, if fact , these days, the French will try whatever little English they can to help foreigners. Please don't be too harsh on the French, if American live in France or take a holiday in France and don't like it, don't come again, that's it, no point to insult people. Every culture is different , every race is different,as for burning cars it sometimes involves politics which you won't understand. I think most misunderstanding is due to communication problem, American don't speak fluent French and the French don't speak fluent English. What can we do ? France is no paradise I can tell you. It's good to visit and be a tourist but it's a misery to live . So many problems in the society and it's not advance comparing with the U.S. But we hope those who immigrate here will adapt and try to accept the way things are, otherwise you can go back to the U.S. It's no point to live in our country and complain everyday.

  3. I've been to France several times as a tourist, and had no problems whatsoever.  The French are very polite and helpful.  If you found otherwise, then I suggest there was something in your attitude that caused the problems.

Cars were burnt in the poorer outer Paris suburbs by disaffected immigrant youths who have no chance of getting jobs or a good education.  A quick Google search would have given you factual information on this.  Cars get burnt in riots all over the world, including the US.  It's not endemic to France or Paris.

  4. 1)  You can not know for a fact that the people who answered you were in fact French.  This is an english speaking board and it is not a requirement that someone be French to be on this board.

    2)  There are many cyber bullies on this board.  I would report them.  You can not know if the cyber bullies were french or not.  Also, their is no screening for membership on this site.

    3)  Your question about the French causing problems for tourists was asked in an aggressive manner.  It assumed that all French were mean to tourists.  This is not the case.  The French can be very nice to tourists.  They just get put off when you go to their country and expect them to speak your language.  They soften up when people at least attempt to speak their language.  Anyway, the French government has put a lot of time in to getting their citizens to be nice to tourists.  I personally was a foreign exchange student in France.   I was very well received by the French.  I was invited to houses and fed.  Everyone wanted to know about the American who took the time to learn French.

  5. I would say that most answers were abrupt rather than insulting, but then your questions were abrupt as well. French are very often insulted on this board (we are called dirty, stupid, coward and asked insulting questions every day...) so abrupt questions can be automatically assumed to be another try at insulting us. The way you ask questions is nearly as important as the question itself, you know. Wrap the question with words, like "I have seen on the news that cars were burned, do you know what the reason is..."

As well, you have trolls who like nothing more than impersonating those asked and insulting the asker. Usually to give a bad reputation to those asked, like the 'horrible' French.

  6. how old are you lil idiot to ask questions so stupid???

and after you come cry oh people are so bad

    ah ah ah !!!

every day on tv i see americans do war in a new country and so what?? did i ask why all americans are fanatics??

your questions are based on prejudices

  7. your problem is that you listen only the bad way of France (or everywhere in the world).... open your mind my dear !!!

you agree with this other girl because she thinks like you .... she's only one !!!

I see many things against you....perhaps the problem is you .. no ?

+: Yes I know I'm perfect, thank you !!! "moi aussi, je t'aime"

  8. There is the notion that French are rude. The defense I read Is that it is the Parisians who are rude and the French outside of Paris agree.

Their response to your question would be "Oh, they're Parisians".
