Why do you keep trying to vacuum up that string, ?

, and when it doesn't get picked up, you'll pick it up and then put it down to give the vacuum another chance?

  1. it is the purpose of the vaccuum cleaner to pick it up, so you just want the dumb thing to do it's job

    And it itches at our eyeballs when it remains there...

    And we're in a momentum of OCD behavior!

  3. Strictly for entertainment.  Sometimes I cut different lengths to vacuum up, then I get bored and do something else.

  6. I do not do that, as that string can mess up your brush drum!  My mother taught me young to pick up any object off the floor that you can see before vacuuming.

  8. Because your goal is to vacuum up the string, you don't ever really think about just picking it up and throwing it away. Plus, sometimes people are just lazy and would rather vacuum it up then have to find a trash to throw it in.

  9. Because you have your mind set on having the vacuum pick up the string. And its entertaining. :)
