Why do you like Palin as the VP pick?

Most people are talking about McCain choosing her to appease Hillary voters... I don't think that was the primary reason, and I don't think that is the best reason. But there are other very good reasons!

1. She is young and a fresh face in DC.

2. She has more executive experience that Obama.

3. Choosing a female breaks open the old and rusty Republican box.

4. She has an excellent background on energy and wasteful spending. Both issues that Obama has ZERO experience with.

5. Being female, she is a minority in this game... check mate with the whole "black - minority - historic" card Obama has been playing.

6. You want change - you got it. This woman is going to show up many of the old men in DC

All of that is valuable - without the added benefit of some Hillary supporters. That might be part of this, but not the main part, I don't think.

  1. I totally agree. She is a breath of fresh air, and she will make her mark I am sure. It's about time we shake things up. May the best woman win!!  Democrat for McCain/Palin 2008.

  2. I had never heard of her until today, but since the news broke I am reading as much as I can about her!  I have to say that the more I read the more excited I become, she is really interesting!

  3. Shez hawt

  4. Because Obama now has even more of a chance of beating McCain in the election.

    Only reasons she was picked:

    1. she was picked because she was a woman

    2. she was picked because of the oil in Alaska

    3. she was picked because John McCain is older than sliced bread

    4. her son is going to Iraq September 11th

why did you like her again?

Was this seriously all the Republicans could offer?

BTW, I know this is no new info, but is it true or not that McCain voted with bush OVER 90% of the time?

  5. Palin is a conservative.

  6. i think you're are spot on with your judgement of her..after watching last nights speech, i was kinda bummed out figuring that whoever McCain picked, it probably wouldn't be able to go up against the Obama celeberity jaugernaut...then this morning came and this woman and her credentials were being talked about, and by 10 am, it was a done deal, by 11 am, the crowd in dayton was going nuts and so was i!! i am so proud that McCain did this. Palin sounds like a dream come true to me. fighting corruption and waste and  she balances out Mccains age and lack of things youthful and new..this breathes new life into the election that was sorely needed..God bless America...

  7. I'll agree with you 100%. Had Obama chosen Hillary as a running mate it would be a different story, but arogance held him down. I said from the start that either an Obama/Clinton or a Clinton/Obama ticket would be unbeatable. I think I even said this on a question early in the campaign.

Palin is the best choice McCain could have made. She has a very clean, good record, She was knocking the c**p out of the fraud and excessive spending in Alaska, and stopping the corrupt oil companies there also. And she "is" better looking than any V.P. we've ever had.

  8. All I have heard from liberals today is how Sarah Palin is not experienced enough to be a heart beat away from the presidency. She has THE SAME amount of experience as Barack Obama. Obama would not be heart beat away, he WOULD BE the president, with the same lack of experience as Palin. Why do liberals not get this fact??

  9. Her experience in all fields is greater than Obama's and thus the Obama cultists can't honestly oppose her on that front.

She is not a machine politician (like Obama) or an "Old Boy" (like Biden) and better exemplifies Obama's claim for "change" better than Obama himself.

She has real-life executive experience that neither Obama or Biden have. She has actually managed a group of people. ... not just spent all day talking hypothetics.

  10. This pick is a joke. She should fit right in with the McBush flip flops. As Gov of Alaska in 2006 she was all for the "Bridge to no where" and today she says she she was not. She is NOT for abortion or womans rights so that will get her in good with the women "Ai least those that dont have any brains" She has less experiience than Obama. After all Obama is a senator in Washington and she is a gov of Alaska. She is under investigation in her own state about the way she handled the fireing of a state trooper. All she is is just another ex beauty queen who wanted to be a reporter for ESPN but didnt want to make the move to the state where ESPN was located.and beauty queens and women sports reporters in my book are not the most sharpest knifes in the drawer. There may be a cat fight between her and Cindy McBush on who wore the shinier tierra when they were crowned beauty queens She just had a baby who has Down"s Syndrome. That baby is going to need lots of care. Is she going to provide that care IF she becomes vice president?

  11. All Palin has done is be the mayor for a town of 6,000 and is the govenor of one of the least populas states in the union.

Also she's involved in Alaska's Troopergate, which is not surprsing, as it's well known that Alaska is one of the most corrupt states in the Union.
