  1. cause its awesome, its more complicated than that, and no

  2. You can bet on NASCAR races over at 1BetUS.

  3. Dude...if we have to explain it to you, then what is the point, you either get it and love it, or you don't...

It's not just going in circles, there is the precision of pit stops, the strategy of the crew chiefs callin for 2 or 4 tire changes, there is rivalry and challenge that is beyond any stick and ball sport out there...fenders bangin, donuts rubbin, stripes bein earned, shall I go on??? = D

I love it, have for many years as do most all the people I know... Go Harvick to the front in Daytona!!!

    Woooohooooo!!!

  4. It is exciting following your favorite driver(s) during a race. You should pick one or more favorite drivers then try to watch a whole race. Maybe you'll see why NASCAR is the best sport in the world.

  5. Why do you come to a NASCAR blog and ask stupid questions?

  6. I don't like NASCAR at all actually.  But I LOVE Open wheel racing.  Open wheel cars go MUCH faster than stock cars, and its more exciting to me.  But thats my opinion.  Asking why we like racing is like asking anybody else "Why do you like football" or " Why do you like soccer" etc.  Whatever sport you like to watch, we could ask the same thing.  Also you said its guys driving around in circles, well in the Formula 1 series, all of the tracks they go to are on road and street courses (they have lots of turns and are not ovals)   If you actually gave racing a chance, and looked into the rules, the drivers, the teams, etc, I think you could become a fan.

  7. Because it's awesome!

  8. Nope. But Hockey sure wants me to change the channel. Guys on skates and ice, just not for me. But I don't go to the hockey section and put you down. So please think before you act.

  9. I was born to love racing, all kinds.  My dad raced trucks and jeeps as did my aunt and uncle.  My mom used to go to NASCAR races all the time.  I even raced in the Soap Box Derby.

They do more than drive around in circles.  They do it at high speeds and inches away from eachother.  The danger is exciting.  Plus, it's always fun to watch for a confrontation!

I do want to change the channel sometimes because there are just too many commercials and I get tired of hearing about the same drivers the whole time.

  10. it is so hard to describe why nascar is so great... the speed is amazing, the controversy, the rivalries, the cars, it is everything.... i love nascar not like and it isnt boring and i dont want to change the channel

  11. it was great and fun to watch when i was younger late 50 ,60,70 and the dale era made it exciting there were many different cars and i mean really different petty would have never won all those races without his Plymouth they knew how to make a race car now they are all exactly the same just different stickers there are only a handful of engine builders and they don't even make Plymouth anymore  so yes i think over the years its just got more boring even when you go to one tickets are so expensive and t-shirts everything is just way over priced  me and my dad used to go to at least 5 races a year we would go all over the country they were that good now the last race i went to was the Pepsi 400 in the rain it was postponed and didn't start till after ten and ended after two the most fun was me and my wife trying to cook out in my blazer now we just call it napcar watch the start take a nice nap watch the finish its to bad they had to make all these rules and make every car the same it really sucks now

  12. the only times i change the channels all weekend is from speedtv to espn back to speedtv then over to tnt (or whoever is covering the cup race that week).

and as smack said, i do want to change the channel if i see a hockey game on, so i don't wander over to the "hockey" section in YA to prove that i don't have the sense god gave a left-handed monkey-wrench. at least monkey wrenches know not to waste their time where they don't want to be and where they are not welcome.

now, what did i do with my left-handed monkey wrench... i'd like to throw it at some hockey fan...

  13. Ha, haha, hahahahahahahhahahahahahahaha

    You so funny!!!!

I refuse to accept your reality and hereby insert my own.

    NASCAR.COM

You must be an F1 fan....

  14. because Bobby Labonte is THE MAN

  15. What do you expect us to say that we are hillbilly rednecks? well sorry to disappoint ya but we aren't we love our sport and if you don't like it then who asked you to watch it? did someone hold a gun to your head and make you? i didn't think so we don't go onto your section and ask stupid questions like why do you like.....(fill in the blank) so why are you here knocking what we love?

  16. To what? Men running around a diamond or a Lifetime movie?  Because that's all that's on most weekend afternoons, sonny!

NASCAR's fun.  Don't knock it until you actually watch it.  Most people who say that to me get hooked when I make them watch a race.

  17. I would never change the channel when the most exciting sport is on.  I do however turn the channel when hockey is on.    You need to drop your stick and watch a real sport :NASCAR

"Beginning as regional entertainment in the Southeastern U.S., NASCAR has grown to become the second most popular professional spectator sport in terms of television ratings inside the U.S., ranking behind only the National Football League. Internationally, NASCAR races are broadcast in over 150 countries. It holds 17 of the top 20 attended sporting events in the U.S., and has 75 million fans who purchase over $2 billion in annual licensed product sales. These fans are considered the most brand-loyal in all of sports, and as a result, Fortune 500 companies sponsor NASCAR more than any other sport."

  18. Guys beating the crud out of each other for a triangular shaped piece of leather?

Guys skating around banging a puck back and forth?

Guys swinging sticks and hitting balls and running around in circles in which 80% of it is standing there doing nothing but chewing tobacco?

Don't you just want to change the channel?

  19. it is fun too watch car go boom and then get mad!!!!!!!!

  20. Well if you simplify it to driving in circles than yeah it's boring. But when you look at it this way, 43 cars driving 180+mph inches away from each other(and sometimes even touching) it gets exciting. Nothing more fun than a race that ends where the first 2 cars finish within .001 seconds of each other. I happen to think boxing's retarded, two guys(sometimes girls) standing in a ring in their underwear pounding the c**p out of each other, besides the sport is just so corrupt it's not funny, but I'm not in there bashing it. And what's with bashing hockey guys, that's my #2 right after NASCAR.

  21. What's not to like. It is very exciting!

  22. i have to deal with the same question from my friends, and I will tell you the same. There is so much more than just circles. There is strategy out the wazoo, I know it has already been said, but there is rivalry, team work, if you see a race live, the experience is awesome, like nothing you have ever been to. Pick a racer to watch and cheer for, make a bet on the race, then you will learn about it and might understand it. After that, you will be hooked. I used to think the same way some years ago, but now, I don't miss a race.

  23. Because I do, no it's not, and no I don't.

You just don't know what you're missing
