Why do you like this "professional" wrestling?

if it isn't a sport, and is acted out. Is it entertaining to you guys?

Yes, it is sports entertainment, with writers and actors and athletes.  Kind of like a play.

Well they still do things that are painful and life threatening. And even though its scripted, the injuries and risks are real. So its kinda like paying to see a daredevil do his stunts.

And then we have freaks of nature like the Great Khali and Batista. Something you hardly see in real wrestling.

All in all, just good violent fun.

Because, it is just that... professional... watching two guys fight on the street is seldom entertaining unless there is some property damage. Writing concepts for people to fight within adds an element of drama and imagination and gives the fight a bit more substance. It is precisely for this reason that I have no interest in boxing or UFC.

Yes, I find it entertaining.

Eh, I consider it more of a "sport" than, say, lawn bowls or golf. It's actually one of the most challenging physical activities there is, and the lack of legitimate competition doesn't change that. It's an art-form, like gymnastics, except with a much greater risk of injury. It can be an extreme sport, with guys taking insane risks and cutting themselves for a show, or it can be an art, like I just said. I see wrestling the same way Bruce Lee fans see his movies, I guess.

If you really want to understand, watch all of this. The athletecism of it, the psychology and emotion of it. If you don't get it after the final bell, you never will (it starts off slowly, but that's part of the story of the match).
