  1. Despite common belief, apples are very compatible now, you can run windows on it and all kinds of windows applications. Combine this with the great design software that comes with apples, ease of use and ability to play the latest games since apples are now so much more compatible and can come with great hardware and you have everything you could possibly want in a computer besides perhaps the ability to tweak the c**p out of it. This however isn't something the average computer user wants to do, so for most people it has everything they want.

  2. Ease of use. Overall compatibility (you can use many different kinds of software to use windows only programs like VMWare or BootCamp), the design, and great customer service. Also, it is very difficult to find out large numbers of tweaks for a specific computer that doesn't deal with the software like mods with the ambient light sensors, the fans, and many other sensors.

Yes its pricey, but its up to you on whether its worth the price or not. Don't buy one anytime soon though. They're supposed to update the MacBook and the MacBook Pro mid September.

  3. i love mine! don't listen to the other people. I bought a refurbished one online. They are cheaper, but still work great!

  4. i recoomend the store if you have one near, better to chat to someone.

I like my mac because i am part of a community, I have 4 macs, an ipod and an iphone, cliché i know. But they genuinely do produce good products, only now is there anything liek the mac mini freely avialable on the market, yet i bought mine years ago and payed only 2/3rds of what Dells competitor is offering now.

they are pricey, but your not only buying a computer, your buying into the most powerful OS available, a huge community that offer support when you need it and a style icon.

I think the mac mini is the coolest computer there is, its understated, cute and neat.

Yes, the products can be faulty, as with any other computer product in the world.

Yes, there is issues on windows compatibility (if everyone went mac there would be no problem though :) )

I don't like my apple computer. I love it and i accept all the criticism of cheese and cliché.

  5. I wouldn't I like to be able to use programs.

  6. I'm trying to  talk my daughter out of buying a macbook.  She wants one badly, but she can't say why.  She is really looking more to make a fashion statement than fill her real needs.

A basic macbook costs at least $1200.  That's just for starters.

A terrific notebook pc can be gotten for half that.

Apples are great, to be sure, but for the average user, they are over-priced.  Apple spends a lot of money telling people that they aren't more expensive, but if you really do the numbers, they just ARE.  So much great software for a pc can be gotten for free that will make it just as good.

I bought my fantastic pc for less than $600.

  7. Sorry, overpriced & overhyped, just not worth the money - a real rip off.

  8. I've been an Apple user for almost 4 years now... Never had a problem! Yes, they are pricey, but if you want reliability, Apple is the way to go. And the Macbooks aren't too expensive now..

Before I turned to Apple, I was a PC user and EVERY single one I ever owned (laptop and desktop) lost my data at one point. I never have to worry about a virus or spam or anything. Apple computers are clean, sleek, practical, stylish, and best of all... RELIABLE.

If you really want a PC because that's what you need for your programs or work or whatever, I've heard great things about IBMs. I think they are about the same price-wise anyway, but if I ever needed to switch to a PC, it would be an IBM.

Whatever you do, stay away from Compaqs, cheap Dells, and no name brands. It's not worth it..
