  1. It's a fun game to play. It's not too physically demanding, and it's more of a relaxing game than most other sports.

  2. 'Cause I don't...but my brother and uncles and dad, grandpa do. I don't know why.Hey, I heard this one guy say 'Golf is a perfectly nice stroll through a park...ruined by a little white ball' :-)

  3. Why do you Love asking 'Why do you Love " I have seen your question in 3 other categories , are you doing some kind of report ?

  4. its the hardest game to master

  5. its relaxing (usually), and still challenging.  There isn't much better than throwing your clubs and a cooler of beer on a golf cart and spending an afternoon hitting the **** out of a little ball all afternoon with some friends.

  6. Where else can u get drunk and drive around in a mini car and whack a ball to take out some frustration?

  7. Growing up I was a natural athlete that had very little problem mastering each sport that I played, well not mastering but being good at lets say. In my twenties, I tried golf as a means to suck up to my future father in law, who was an avid golfer. I remember standing on the driving range thinking to myself, "how hard can this be?" I whiffed air three times before I even touched that little stationary ball, and realized right then that this was a special game. I was so humbled that day, mad even, that I made up my mind that I would learn how to do it. Nearly twenty years later I still find it to be difficult. One day you can hit it straight and think that you have it figured out and go out the next day and slice and hook everywhere. The thing is that its you and the course when the rubber hits the road. It is predicated on honor and integrity which makes it very applicable to life. Also its a game in which size and strength matter little, but mental strength is a must.

  8. Probably because of Natalie Gulbis[Not just another pretty face].Erm, not really, but it's one of those sports where you don't have to bump into your opponent on court n end up in a fight , and running is not required. It is fun and relaxing.

  9. Two reasons, the first of which is it beats the heck out of work anyday and the second is that you get to spend time with family or friends without interruptions or distractions.

  10. Because the first time I ever played the game I hit the ball to within 6 inches of the cup from about 100yds out. Ever since then I've been hooked (so to speak). After that I have been able to make at least one really nice shot per outing. However, consistency only came years later with a lot of practice. It's the journey that is so much fun.

  11. Its a Zen thing for me!

  12. IT'S RELAXIN not tirin an fun!

  13. Hardly play nowadays as I've got back problems. Played about twice in last year and getting worse through lack of practice and my back.

Was never a big hitter and never got below 24 handicap.........but I love the game....love everything  about it even though I get more from a good walk these days.

Golf is first and foremost a challenge. I've trooped off the 18th many times saying I won't be back...then lay in my bed at night when the emotions were stilled and played the entire round in my head.......going over where I went wrong, which was a lot.

Golf is also a friend making machine in the words of Gary Player. I have met people who I may never have got to know but for golf, and it has the effect of being a complete melting pot. I've met a few who I didn't like but I stress a very few.

Golf is also a character builder and teaches you integrity, patience and sportsmanship among others.

Even suppose you never become a champion, to be able to enjoy it and socialise with good mates in fresh air and exercise...can't get better. That's why I love it.
