I would like to know what you love about area you chose whether you were born there or moved from another area? I love Whitehorse Yukon as it is the most remote area of Canada... we're considered the last frontier.

  1. I have been to the Yukon and it is very beautiful.  It certainly is remote!  But I was there in the Summer and I wonder if I'd live through one of your Winters!  Most of the places in North American that I've fallen in love with are places I visited in the Summer that are famous for hard Winters--Minneapolis, Boston, Montreal.

I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, and I really love it here.  It's an area of seven million people, but it doesn't seem that crowded.  We have more permanent open space than any area of comparable size in the world.  So I have a wonderful big city at my disposal but I can also get on my motorcycle and be out in the woods and mountains in half an hour.

California is very diverse in both people and geography, so we have great ethnic restaurants and cultural opportunities, and also a huge variety of places to go on a weekend--mountains, forests (redwoods!), ocean, desert, etc.

Plus the climate here is wonderful.  Never too hot, never too cold.  It hardly ever rains during the Summer.  The weather is so predictable that you always know what to wear.

  2. I came from the east coast, and just hated the crowds and the pushy rush-rush atmosphere.  I love the west (with the exception of southern California) because it is so much more laid-back; kicked-back, and calm.

  3. I like my area cause there are so many places to travel that are so near by. (I live in Niagara region of Ontario by the way).  I've done weekend trips to boston, ohio, nyc, ottawa, quebec city, montreal, washington, philly.

And I'm not even close to done yet.  It is so easy.  Most of these trips have been just overnight to get out of town for the h**l of it.

plus free health care ain't bad either;) lol

Plus I am very proud to say that Niagara reigion is the HOME of  multi-culturalism in North American.  It was the first placec to ban slavery and allow Blacks to live among whites like equals!!
