Where do you live and why do you love living there?

I live in Alabama. And I love it because It is okay to walk down your street bare foot. And because at night, the stars are soooo bright and there are about a billion crickets. Its so peaceful.

  1. I live in county not a state.

But I love Kent because it is the first place the sees the sun rise in the winter. So it is sunny every morning of the year for me, people elsewhere have to go to work for about 2 hours before they see the sun peep the horizon

I like that it's so close to London and you can visit there, and yet doesn't have the social problems that you see in the city's suburbs. I love that the accent is distinct from standard English, but not horrifically like you see in most other counties like Yorkshire

I like that you can go from the town centre to rolling green hills, to dense forest on foot in less than a fifteen minutes since everything is so closely built

I like that it is so close to the continent and that you can see France on a clear day and go there for £5

I like that the further south and east you go in this country, the less rainy days you have and the summers are longer and warmer. You can't get much further south and east than this.

I like the history here. You can visit practically any town here and find a castle, or at least some kind of building about 1000 years old

  2. Well I love my home state (where I spent my childhood) a lot because of many of the same reasons.

I am from Wisconsin, and I love how the Midwestern states are very family oriented and people are friendlier.  I love how the cheese is both good and cheaper, that cheese curds are "so fresh they squeak", that I could go live in Door County to live at my aunt's and work for the summer and have the best time of my life in a place that has no McDonald's or any chain restaurants or stores.  I love the seasons, how it is hot in the summer and cold in the winter, that by the time I'm sick of being hot it gets cooler (I LOVE fall and winter).  Also, everyone from Wisconsin is proud of our state; I have yet to meet a Wisconsinite who isn't openly proud!

NOW I live in DC and I love how busy it is yet it doesn't feel so congested.  Unlike NYC, the buildings can't be that tall, so downtown feels exciting without making you feel small.  Also there is the Mall, the Monuments, etc. which makes the city feel special.  There are also a LOT of free museums so you can NEVER be bored!

  3. My state is NY and people are so patriotic and we have one of the biggest cities in the world. So much culture, history, fashin, sports and buildings. Even religion has a big part to it. Also NY is where most of America came together in a time of great sorrow and we pulled together to show the terrorists that we will now be intimidated by this action and go down quietly. That is why i love NY.
