Why do you people always talk about hockey?

it's a great sport i understand but it's the offseason, you need a rest like the pro hockey players, i dont think they talk about the trade deadline or what not..

There are still hockey things going on , The draft just passed. Free agency is happening. Some teams are having mini camps now. Not to mention some of us play hockey all year round. There is always something Hockey to talk about. You have a rest from talking about it when you are asleep

I play a ton of golf this time of year, but guess what; we're usually talking about hockey for at least part of the time.  It's what we do.

Off the ice I'm nice to everyone whether if they're a friend or someone I just met but if you don't wanna talk hockey - don't feel as if you have to browse through this section.

Not everyone here is a hockey genius, but others take the time to inform themselves.

yeah why don't you tell the NFL and all the people who have been talking about whether or not Favre is coming back to play to take a break you really don't hear enough about the NHL I mean even when Crosby's rookie season was one of the best so far you didn't hear much about that. If you were to go up to someone and ask them who won the Stanley Cup the have no clue but go up to them and ask them who won the Super Bowl with out thinking they know the answer.

That is their career. If you don't think that they are talking about trades and signings then you don't understand a career.

I highly doubt that NHL players are sitting around on the couch and drinking beers and go out once a week to mow the lawn in the off season.

So why should die hard Hockey fans, turn their back to the off season as well?

If NHL players took a break and sat around they would get out of condition and not be able to compete at the level that they do. As is the same with any hard working career minded person.

My career is a 365 day a year project to maintain and to keep my mind and knowledge in the know. If I decided to take a break for 4-5 months every year, I'd be flipping burgers at BK.

The same goes with an NHL Player that worked their whole life to get where they are. They can not afford to just lay around when their pay checks are 60-100% greater than what the normal person takes home.

That's why people always talk hockey. It's a life.
