i have to get a train from

romford to upminster

upminster to barking

to get 2 purfleet

its going away to the right from london, then going back towards london then back and down to the right?

surely this is daft? i dont see any other way of getting here

can anyone help?

i only can get a train

i thought you could go down from romford to rainham and then rainham to purfleet>?

  2. You are correct, there is no way to get from Romford to Barking or Purfleet without changing trains at least once, and by going in odd directions.

    You have to go from Romford to Upminster, then either District Line or c2c to Barking, then c2c to Purfleet. Pretty silly to have to do that, but the only way, at least using trains.

  3. Train from Romford to Manor Park, 5 minute walk to Woogrange Park, train to Barking.

  4. No, you do not have to go that way. www.thetrainline.com shows two changes - Romford -Upminster/Upminster-Grays/Grays-Purflee...

    There are trains from Romford at 12mins and 42 mins past each hour, Unfortunately on both you have a 24 mins wait at Upminster to either the 44 or 14 mins past each hours and a nearly 20 mins wait at Grays to catch the 16 mins past or 46 mins past to catch your train to Purfleet. Total journey time is 1hr 09mins. I don't know how this compares with the journey via Barking.
