  1. Most "Indian" restaurants are run by people from Bangladesh or Pakistan, and are therefore more likely to be muslim

  2. Because they have  westernised and respect the country they live in. More to the point why don't you see any waitresses in Indian restaurants?

  3. Most "Indian" restaurants are owned and run by Bangladeshi's.

    Most  Bangladeshi's are Muslims,

Turbans are worn by Sikhs, not Muslims.

  4. Because they are not Sikhs

  5. only 2% of indians are sikhs, only male sikhs wear turbans, and not even all male sikhs wear them.

so, you rarely see male staff in indian restorant wearing turbans because less than 2% of indian males wear turbans

most indian restorants are not owned by pakistanis, most pakistani restorants are owned by pakistanis, your "asian friend" needs more information

  6. Do Indians actually wear turbins?

    I thought Sikhs wore turbins?

    Indians are Hindus aren't they?

Im not 100% sure, but good luck in finding out

  7. actually i often do see them wearing turbans

  8. They are a bit awkward, when you are constantly on the move. However, I've often seen the doorman at some of the larger Indian restaurants wear a turban.

They are really just for show in this country (UK).

  9. They may OWN them, but that doesn't mean they WORK in them...the get the lower classes to work in them.

  10. Only Sikhs wear turbans. Not Muslims or Hindus or any other Asian religion. And India and Pakistan are different countries.
