Why do you still believe in global warming?

Just wondering? Media keeps telling you it exists?

What does this mean? It means CO2 has little to nothing to do w/ global temperatures. Let me ask you, how did we make mars get hotter? Why was there such a huge drop in global temp in 2007? we sure aren't doing anything different.

Global warming was not caused by humans, and now its over but your all still buying your BPA free sigg bottles and your c**p slow cars which get in my way and cause accidents.

Have you ever heard of occams razor? This histeria has taken lives, shorted our food supply and cause mass panic. I hope Al Gore is happy. I hope the liberal media is happy.

Congradulations, you fell for the largest hoax in the history of our known existence. The theory of Human caused global warming is now debunked.

  1. If you correctly apply the principle of parsimony (aka Occam's Razor), the inescapable conclusion is that CO2 is directly responsible for the observed warming.  The reasoning is that CO2 provides the simplest explanation, since the increase in solar output has been too small over the last 25 years to result in the observed warming.  Therefore, you have to invoke extremely complicated, unproven, and in many cases unrealistic physics to get solar effects to cause the observed warming.  But don't let the misused analogy deter you.

p.s.  Loved the news article from the Lubbock Avalanche Journal from 1997.  That's some cutting edge news there. Did you read the article, by the way?  Here's a good line:

'Willson said that most researchers expect greenhouse gases to warm the planet by 3.6 degrees Fahrenheit in the next 100 years. Solar irradiance could add another 0.72 degrees F and ''that is not an insignificant number. It is smaller than the greenhouse effect, but it is not trivial,'' he said.'

Only skeptics would cite a 10 year old article from a minor paper which states solar influences will be 1/5 of CO2 influences as evidence *for* the idea that CO2 is irrelevant. The cognitive dissonance in your position is marching around playing Sousa with a 200-piece brass band.

  2. No, i never bought into all the global warming hysteria in the first place. If you take a look at reputable weather graphs that show the C02 levels through out the last 400 million years you can clearly see that there were periods in earths history were the C02 levels were much higher than today and the earth was going through an ice age, i don't think there is much of a correlation between C02 and global warming.

  3. I never believed in the Global Warming nonsense.

  4. How do you explain what the high levels of CO2 has done to Venus?

What makes you think as the CO2 rises here it will somehow not do the same over time?

    EDIT

Rick...why is the heat held in on the dark side?

And a quote from "YOUR" link.......you provided for "us", or as you call us, misinformed idiots...

Read the article and be informed yourself.....moron!

Quote:  The climate on Venus has often been described as the "greenhouse effect" gone to extremes. This may, in fact, be true. If you were to release all of the carbonates locked up within the rocks of the Earth into the atmosphere, the Earth's weather would be similar to how Venus is today. If you were to lock up all the carbon dioxide of Venus in the form of carbonates, as on Earth, Venus would be closer to being a "twin" of the Earth.

And another quote from "YOUR" link

"Over time, the lessening of the carbon dioxide would further reduce the greenhouse effect"

And you got the Ba*** to call us misinformed?

The CO2 is increasing as we are releasing it faster than it is absorbed, and we are still cutting down whole forests, and increasing the production of CO2

So as per "YOUR" link CO2 is a greenhouse gas and as levels rise and fall so does the heating effect

Do you know anything about the atmosphere,

Why are areas without clouds cooler at night?

Why does the "sky" look blue when it is lit with white light yet the space above it is black or clear when you look through it?,

Do you know what infrared radiation is?,

    And in different wavelengths?,

Full spectrum visible light, what is it and what happens to it as it goes through any planets atmosphere?

What happens when various masses, objects, fluids, gasses absorb, block and/or emit different wavelengths or radiation?

  5. The reason your sources were attacked is that they prove there is no "global warming god".

  6. Don't know why people like you are in such denial.....Foxnews as a source?  Come on now, you may want to do some real research, maybe look into the scientific literature.

  7. I think that you need to find better sources...

Article #1 "Scientist: Earth Cooling, Not Warming"

Why is it that deniers get most of their information from editorials and not from scientific literature?  Dr Chapman views were debunked by a climate scientist in the same newspaper a few days later.[1]

Article #2 "Mars Melt Hints at Solar, Not Human, Cause for Warming, Scientist Says"

Did you bother to read the entire article, or just the headline? Here, I quoted the article for you below:

[Quote] “The conventional theory is that climate changes on Mars can be explained primarily by small alterations in the planet's orbit and tilt, not by changes in the sun.

"’Wobbles in the orbit of Mars are the main cause of its climate change in the current era,’ Oxford's Wilson explained. (Related: "Don't Blame Sun for Global Warming, Study Says" [September 13, 2006].)

“All planets experience a few wobbles as they make their journey around the sun. Earth's wobbles are known as Milankovitch cycles and occur on time scales of between 20,000 and 100,000 years.

“These fluctuations change the tilt of Earth's axis and its distance from the sun and are thought to be responsible for the waxing and waning of ice ages on Earth.

“Mars and Earth wobble in different ways, and most scientists think it is pure coincidence that both planets are between ice ages right now.

"’Mars has no [large] moon, which makes its wobbles much larger, and hence the swings in climate are greater too,’ Wilson said.” [End quote]

Article #3 "Study says sun getting hotter"

Almost every study publish since 1997 (the date of your article) concludes that the correlation between sun and climate ended in the 70's when the modern global warming trend began.[2] This tells us that something else besides solar activity is causing our recent global arming.

  8. It's hysteria not histeria I've seen that word misspelled twice. Does it really matter if global warming is real or a hoax? People living today won't live long enough to find out.

  9. I have never once believed in global warming....  Not when it was perceived by those nuts that thought it up, not when Al Gore made up those lies about it and not now....

It just doesn't pass the common sense test and you have to make up and extrapolate almost one hundred other theories in order to make it SEEM like it makes sense.

  10. Have you read - Where the Global Warming Hoax Was Born?

    http://www.21stcenturysciencetech.com/Ar...

“Global Warming” is, and always was, a policy for genocidal reduction of the world’s population. The preposterous claim that human-produced carbon dioxide will broil the Earth, melt the ice caps, and destroy human life, came out of a 1975 conference in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina,"

FYI: To answer the Venus question - read and be informed:

    Inferno:

    http://www.strangehorizons.com/2002/2002...

"Venus is the most volcanically active planet in the solar system."

Lava flows all over the planet - Yet misinformed idiots think it's the CO2??
