  1. Newtons first law, "an object in rest tends to remain in rest unless acted upon by another force". This means, that as the best suddenly moves, your body still tends to remain at rest so when the bus is moving fordward you are still staying still, so you move back as the bus accelerates.

  2. its simply inertia and relativity. newton's first law is inertia. u will tend to want to stay in the same position. when the bus moves, ur body has inertia and will seem to be moving backwards. this moving backwards is because the bus is moving forward. by relativity, it will seem tat u are moving back

  3. it is because of newtons first law of motion...look initially the bus is at rest so our lower body in contact wid da bus is also in rest but when da bus starts moving den da lower portion in contact wid da bus also starts moving but da upper portion of our body is still at rest as a result of which we fall backwards :)

  4. You don't. You tend to stay in the same place. Its the bus that is moving and you don't start to move forward with it until its seat pushes you forward.

On the same subject, if you were holding a helium filled balloon by a string, you would notice that it doesn’t appear to move backward as you do, but rather FORWARD, as the bus starts moving (try it!).

  5. The answer is that since you have mass you want to maintain your speed. Therefore when the bus is still at rest (and you in it) both speeds are 0 to the ground.

When the bus starts moving you want to stay put to the ground. However on the bus this means you are moving backwards (to the end of bus) since the bus is moving forward compared to the ground.

After a short while (because of a seat or because you are holding.yourself) your speed also increases to that of the bus and therefore you no longer feel the pull backwards. Your new speed is the one your mass is now maintaining. So when the bus stops you fill the push forward as you want to maintain the speed of going forward.
