  1. Petroleum became THE factor. Had Hitler forgone his personal vendetta to obliterate Prague and gone on for Moscow, he might have stood a chance getting the Ukraine oilfields. As it was, he delayed the army by a month in the springtime wiping out a non-strategic city. That month might have been better spent pushing on for Moscow before the winter set in. As the fortunes turned, Hitler took over the supreme command of the military, something he was equipped to do.

When the winter set in, the German army had to wait. Meanwhile the Soviets used the time to increase factory capacity of the T-51 tank. By the second winter, the German tanks were completely out of ammunition and diesel. Moreover, they were outnumbered almost 30 to one.

  2. They ran out of gas - literally.

  3. Hitler was a charismatic, hateful, racist dumass. By the time the rank and file realized he was a lunatic, it was too late, no one could challenge him without being killed on the spot.

  4. too little tanks.

  5. Because they had an evil didctator who didn' have a clue

I hiope there won't be a next time!

  6. cuz ur g*y stop  suckin d**k on the battle field

  7. I believe it all boils down to the s***k Hitler slept with.  She gave him syphillis and he went crazy.

  8. In the long run, Britain lost that war as well, the cost meant the end of Empire and the end of the longest period of peace. But Germany lost because of early over extension, picking a fight with the largest naval power and most capable air force that early was a dire mistake. Had they waited and attempted to build up their forces using their superior industrial ability and overtake us they would have battered us.

  9. Poor management/improve management.
