I was expecting really awkward and embarrassing questions. I couldn`t believe some of the questions she refused to answer. Add this to the couple bolting a few days later and you really wonder what was going on in their minds.

  1. Well for starters, there's obviously more than they let on and I think that Kate or Jerry or both had something to do with it (maybe not the abducting itself, but you don't leave a 3yr old and twins aged 2 alone!).

I think that one of them knows where she is and wants attention. (Just a thought)

  2. No comment.

Madeleine's Mum, Kate's precise answer to the Q why she does not answer the 48 questions, answers it all.

IF the investigation thinks, WRONGLY, that she had harmed her child & was doing all it could to push the investigation down that path, the best thing she could do for her Madeleine was to jeopardise such an investigation, by not answering such questions. It makes perfect sense. For if, such an investigation succeeded, by twisting & misinterpreting her replies to those 48 rhetorical questions, in doing what it set out to do - to find Kate & Gerry guilty of harming their Madeleine, they would have been charged & arrested by now. And who then would search for their Madeleine???

With the gullible public believing that Madeleine is no more, murdered by her parents who the court has found guilty, the case would be closed & she would be deemed as no more. Of what good would Kate be to her Madeleine then???

Kate McCann did the right thing. At risk to her reputation but for the love of her child.

Think about it people. Think laterally. What would YOU do, if God forbid, you were in her place??

If you knew you were innocent of harming your child but if the investigating authorities were bent on accusing & charging you. They had already issued her a deal to admit that she had accidently harmed Madeleine, so she knew fully well where they were coming from. Imagine the choice she had to make...in a foreign country, her mind a traumatic mess filled with thoughts of her beloved missing child, faced with accusations that she harmed that child, then faced with a deal to confess to a crime she did not commit... the foremost thought in her mind would have been that these people are wasting time, precious time, barking up the wrong tree, when they could be searching for Madeleine. Naturally she would want to stop them in their tracks... especially since they are on the wrong track. Anyone would. Wouldn't you???

As much as it is the right thing to do, to co-operate with the authorities, when you know in your heart & soul, that the investigation is misguided, no sane person, in search of justice, would help such an investigation...especially when one's own child's life is at stake.

Which explains why Madeleine's Mum, Kate McCann rightly refused to answer those 48 questions, not just to prevent a miscarriage of justice against herself but also to set the investigation on its right path...to find her missing Madeleine.

  4. I don't know why she refused,,they seamed pretty normal questions you'd expect to be asked. In fact,,if it had been my kid missing,,and those questions weren't asked.I'd be asking why.

  5. because she didn`t want to make a mistake and drop herself in the poo

  6. I expect she was upset by the futility of some of them and maybe felt the police should be spending their time and attention where it might have actually helped.  They fled because they're not stupid.  The Portuguese wanted them shot of their holiday resort and would probably have arrested them (even without evidence).

  7. Right from the start she is reported to have said "They have taken her" - not my baby is missing quick search for her or anything like it!!

Very strange and the parents behavious all alond seems to have been anti the police and anti the official search!  WHY?!!!!

Why do they keep the focus on themselves and away from the search for Madeleine?!!

If they really want her found then surely a first step would be to get the investigation reopened by answering the police questions and the second step to be that since they do not need the defence fund now that it should be transfered to the fund to find Madeleine!!!

  8. The innocent talk, the guilty refuse.

  9. I agree.

  10. Because she is seriously unhinged and answering even the simplest of questions would drop herself right in it. There was nothing difficult about the questions but enough to make the guilty uncomfortable. Innocent loving parents would do anything and everything to help their children but like I said that applies to the innocent.

  11. Perhaps they were sick of answering 1000 questions and refused to answer any more.

To be fair you don't know the context - the papers just list the questions as though they picked through the ones they want answer and left the rest.  Perhaps some of them came at the end of a 4 hour interview and they'd had enough? Perhaps they were asked in an insulting or condescending way?

If you're looking for conspiracy there, then some of the question aren't relevant to Maddie going missing - eg the kind of work Kate does at the hospital wouldn't implicate her and could be found out easily enough.

  12. crushing guilt and fear of incrimination

  13. Because that's the advice she was given.Best advice she was ever given as it turns out. What part of 'they are no longer suspects' are you struggling with?

  14. Simply because the '48 questions' were asked after she was wrongly and far too hastily made a suspect, so I would say the reason she did not answer them (bear in mind it was probably on her lawyers advice) is because she did not want to be framed for a 'crime' she was/is innocent of and subsequently the search for her missing daughter would have then ended. Think about it.

  15. Because the ***** knows she is guilty as sin. She will pay when she faces God-she will pay then. There wont be no high priced attorneys to help her out.

  16. 48 out of 200 questions. Because she found them insulting and felt she was being set up, just like Joana Morais' mother, 5 yrs earlier at the hands of the same investigating officer, who has made money off of the back of Madeleines tragic situation.

I would have LAUGHED my head off if I was her , when they asked "Did you ask the twins what had happened". AND also , I would have said "oh really , is that right" when they said DNA had been found. The British Forensics Experts warned the PJs 4 days before the 11 hour interrogation of Kate McCann that the DNA was not conculsive in any way shape or form. This advise was completely ignored by the PJs. They are shameless as a police force.

Funny how from that dossier the offer of "confess and get a lighter sentence" is missing.

Edit. To your edit. Cos she ain't me. Innit. I can not expect others to live and breath by my standards. Kate dealt with it her way, I would do it mine. (I feel a song coming on....)

  17. because she's guilty as h**l....

  18. We can speculate till the cows come home, but we will never know what is really going on in their minds.
