It has always been implied that she was just jealous of Selena's beauty and success. Do you believe in this? Or do you think there may have been secrets that were never revealed to the public?

  1. She was president of her fan club and used her position to mishandle funds.  Once the relationship was terminated by Selena she probably felt like her whole life was over.  I lean more to the obsessed fan who was allowed to get too close motive.

Now, Emilio wrecks his own tour bus.  Tejano musicians have really bad luck.

  2. I've thought that one Selena's most popular traits was the one that lead to her demise.  Unlike most American performers, she really liked to be interactive with her audience and didn't think she was above them.

And its this quality that made her not see red flags when she let Yolanda into her world.  Yolanda showed the signs of a typical overly obsessed person who wanted to live through another, like an overbearing mother minus the maternal obligations.  There was a misappropriation of funds that lead to the confrontation resulting in Selena being shot.

She wanted to be close...too close...then when the relationship was severed, she reacted like a disgruntled postal worker.
