  1. I think it's real. Why just the other day, it seems, I was trying to keep the ice from melting in my freezer.

Global cooling is when everybody leaves there refrigerator door open all day to try and reverse the effects of global warming. It isn't working though because the ice in my freezer keeps melting.

  2. There is currently no evidence that man has made any significant contribution to climate change.

    Some interesting facts.

    1. During most of the past 2,000 years, the temp has been about the same or higher. Currently, we are barely over the average for the last 2,000 years.

    2. During the medieval warm period (820 – 1040 AD), Greenland supported farming. Those areas previously farmed are now covered in glaciers. Obviously the melting and reformation of glaciers is a cyclical occurrence.

    3. The earth experienced a little ice age which ended around the late 1860's or so. This is about the time man started recording temperatures. This would be like measuring a lake depth after a severe drought, then worrying about it flooding as it rose to normal levels.

    4. The earth has been warming for the last 18,000 years, since the last major glacier time period. During this time frame, the glaciers have been melting at a fairly consistent rate. Also, for most of the last 1 billion years, the earth had NO glaciers or ice coverage.

    5. The AGW theory states that CO2 is the primary driver of temperature. They arrived at this idea because they did not know of anything else which could cause it. But during the 70's and during the current decade, temperatures dropped while CO2 continued to rise. This means that natural occurrences are driving temp, not CO2.

    6. The Pacific Decadal Oscillation and sun spots provides a much better correlation to earths' temperature than CO2 levels ever have.

    7. Polar Bears are experiencing a population boom. Coke sales in the arctics are through the roof. Polar Bears have been around for thousands of years, and remember, we are only at the average for the last 2,000 years. They lived through all the previously warmer climates. The original picture of 2 bears on a floating ice block was a complete scam. The photographer explained that the bears were in no danger and close to shore. The picture was lifted from a public PC by another passenger and sent around the world.

    8. Many glaciers are expanding. Even Antarctica is growing on 98% of is land mass. Only 2% is melting.

    9. There is no consensus on AGW. This was a lie that has been propagated by the media.

    10. Yes we emit CO2 into the atmosphere and it is a greenhouse gas, but, we only contribute about .28% of all the greenhouse effect. Water vapor makes up about 95% of the greenhouse effect. CO2 and other trace gases round out the greenhouse gases at about 5% for all of them. Of that 5%, only 3% is CO2, and most of that is natural. Again, our contribution to the greenhouse effect is a paltry .28%

    11. The spread of disease is not attributed mainly to temperature. If this were the case, Florida would be a giant festering disease ridden cesspool. Economic standing is the primary determining factor in the spread of disease. Poor cultures can not fight the disease or eradicate the pests like more successful nations.

    12. Natural climate disasters (hurricanes, cyclones, etc) have never been scientifically linked to global warming (whether natural or man made).

  3. well for one CO2 makes up like 0.038% i think? thats c**p all and you say its risen by 80-110%? hoh no i should stop driving my car!.

who gives a flying f**k if it is real its not like  it will be apon us in our life time get with the program its not our fult nor our problem as for saving others i dont want to i am just to happy living in my westen country

also no fat chicks they let off to much methan

  4. For global warming to be caused by a build up of CO2 in the atmosphere, the atmosphere should capture heat and warm accordingly. Therefore if you compare the mid troposphere ( the part of the atmosphere capturing the heat) against the surface temperature trend the mid troposphere should warm about 20% faster than the surface according to the theory. The link below clearly shows that the surface warmed faster than the mid troposphere.

There is no reason the world should not have warmed naturally, solar activity has increased according to the ACRIM TSI composite (page 7).

    http://lasp.colorado.edu/sorce/news/2003...

A large Pacific ocean circulation pattern known as the PDO shifts from cool to warm cycles every 30 years or so, which clearly indicates the world had no choice but to warm over the last thirty years.

    http://www.jisao.washington.edu/pdo/

Can CO2 make a difference, yes it could but the data clearly shows that it was a minor player at best, and with declining solar activity and ocean circulation patterns favoring a cooler climate in the coming decades, I would say don't throw away your long johns anytime soon.

  5. 30 years ago the same "scientists" were preaching global cooling.  Here's a link to a Newsweek article:

  6. i don't there is to much evidence against it.  There have been plenty of natural ice ages and global warmings before.  The greatest mass extinction in the history of the world at the end of the permian period is believed by many scientists to have been caused by global warming and that was millions of years before the first dinosaur let alone the first human. Plus over the history of the earth geologic records show that a lot of times the temperature of the earth actually rised before the co2 levels did.  Saying co2 causes global warming is like saying that cancer causes smoking.

Also there is a much more direct relation between the amount of solar activity such as sun spots and the temperature of the earth.  During the little ice age (1100AD-1814AD) Astronomers recorded that the sun did not have sun spots or had very few.  Some astronomers today estimate that the current number of sunspots is at an 8,000 year high, which would cause the current warming.  Plus the amount of ice at the north pole actually increased since last year which you can see on this link.

    http://www.theregister.co.uk/2008/08/15/...

There are just to many variables to global warming.  The planet is a huge place and it has survived so many ice ages global warmings, major volcanic activity, and asteroid impacts it just doesn't make sense that one species would be able to destroy it.

  7. Why don’t I think global warming isn't real? Well, really because of the most basic of measurements.

Man made CO2 emissions are rising, and this rise causes global warming. That’s right isn’t it?

Here’s the CO2 measurement at Mauna Loa since 1958. http://scrippsco2.ucsd.edu/data/mlo.html Graph it and you’ll see the constant rise of CO2.

Now compare that CO2 rise with Global temperature. Graph this and look at the last 10 years. http://hadobs.metoffice.com/hadcrut3/dia...

Do the same comparison using CO2 and Ocean Temperature.  Graph this and look at the last 10 years. http://www.junkscience.com/MSU_Temps/NCD...

Do you see how CO2 continues to rise, but that Global Temperature (Source Hadley, British Met’ Service) and Ocean Temperature (Source NOAA) haven’t risen in the last 10 years.

If man made CO2 causes Global Warming then why haven’t temperatures risen for the last 10 years in step with the increased concentration of CO2?

The linkage between Man Made CO2 and Climate change has never been demonstrated, and subsequently replicated independently. If I’ve somehow missed this important piece of information then I’d be most grateful if you’d direct me to it.

  8. No, I don't buy AGW.  It is the marriage of convenience between opportunistic scam artists and semi-daft fanatics.

Put aside the discredited theories and wild-eyed pronouncements look at the proponents of this thing.  How many of them are angling to make a buck off it scaring people?  And how many of them live as if this is real?

Even if they are right about cause and effect, their prescriptions are all wrong.  Siphoning off wealth to fund dubious projects like carbon sequestering takes away wealth we need to deal with whatever may come.

Suppose we spend billions fortifying our coastal cities against the impending rise in the oceans.  We build seawalls and floodgates.  We move away from the shore.  And it doesn't happen.  Money wasted.  Or what if the opposite happens and sea levels fall.  Now we have to dig a channel out to the sea.

  9. IT EXISTS. As much as we don't want to hear it, IT DOES. But it won't affect anyone in this century.

  10. You have bought into a socialist scam. There is no proof that global warming is caused by man. You can call us all kinds of names but the fact remains just because you say it exist doesnt make it true.

You can buy into a tax scam if you like but I for one will not. I see no evidence that man is causing climate change as climates will change.

    get educated

OMG  You dont even know what global cooling is?

Thank  you for proving my point

  11. Ask david letterman ,Of coarse it is look at the melting at a rate so fast ,ice just dont melt.

  12. i really don't know why they do. maybe they are too scared to accept the truth or they are just ignorant. (kinda like how fudge refused to believe voldemorts return in the 5th harry potter book). They also might profit off the continued ignorance of others.

  13. I think that global warming MAY be true but if it is it's not a result of anything humans have done.  It's a natural occurrence.  Just like global cooling.  It happens.  Just conserve moderately and live your life, that's what I say.
