Why do you think its important for us American's to go on vacation?

Many countries have time specifically for employees to take a vacation..many lasting several weeks.

Americans, however, are expected to be strapped to their desks 24/7 and be grateful for the opportunity!  Time off, vacation or otherwise, often aggravates employers!  

Those from other countries don't understand why we are given so little time or opportunity to take a vacation.  Why do you think they are so relaxed?!  We are so incredibly stressed to our limits, that no matter what, Americans will take some sort of vacation.

It may be to a different place than before, or for a shorter time...but we will not lose our well deserved (and often overdue) vacations!!!

To prevent from being burnt out. Plus, if the company will still pay you not to work, why not take advantage of it? By the way, it's not only Americans that are needed to be on vacation. Everybody do. Have a good vacation yourself!
