Why do you think most of British columbia's lakes are skinny ? ( British columbia is a province of canada ) .

  1. Most likely due to the work of glaciers during the last ice ages. The mountains direct the flow of the ice through the valleys which in turn act as gigantic scrapers and gouge out softer rock that become long, thin lakes as the glaciers melt.


  2. The one next to my house is round.

    It may have something to do with the shape of the mountain range.
