Why do you think my FIL is putting so much pressure on me?

he is a very demanding man and he knows i for one will not wait on him hand and foot like his wife and kids do. so I'm not sure if that's why he puts pressure on me or not , i mean 1st he wanted his wife in my labour room with me and he knew what my thoughts were about that 2nd he was pressuring me to stop breastfeeding my daughter(i never did it in front of him of course)

3rd if i went to his house i had to put my daughter down he would carry on if i nursed her for a while

look the list could go on and on everytime i see him its something different and he speaks to his wife like she is a pig and i do not believe that you should be little your parner in front of anyone. he makes me sick sometimes.

but getting back to the question when it comes to my daughter he is full of critisim and i dont like it i have stoped going to his house because of it. its not just me he does it to every one at some time or other but to me he does everytime i see the man. should i say something or get my hubby to? what would you do? stay away like i am?

I would let my husband know that if he doesn't talk to his father, I will say something and it won't be nice...on top of not ever going back to his house.

you bet i would stay away your daughter dosnt need to grow up thinking its ok for a man to treat her this way but allot of older men are so old school and so set in there ways they just find it impossible to adjust get your hubbie to speak to him he will get over it allot better then if you do good luck hun
