Why is it even relevant? He probably checked it because he's a considerate husband. It's not like he's suspicious of her or anything, because checking someone's oil won't tell you anything.

I always check the oil, water, tire pressure and even put gas in my wife's car. I don't want her to have any problems when she is driving somewhere.
