Anything, everything. What would the world be like if we all just kind of accepted what we don't know and can't change? Would that be positive or negative for the world in general. Have we taken the desire for knowledge too far? Or is there such a thing as taking it too far? Your thoughts on this!

  1. i don't think necessarily everybody has this feature, but i think understanding gives security, the way turning the lights on gives you security on knowing where you are going and not going to bump into anything.

others on the other hand might do it simply for profit.

seeking knowledge i don't think can go too far. however i think we've taken profit way too far.

  2. I think the problem we as humanity are facing is that the need to understand hasnt been cultivated enough. We are suckers for easy convictions. So ready to believe and get comfortable with whatever is offered us by our parents or society as we are growing up. No need to question anything at all.

  3. Life does not always seem FAIR!

Hi!  I am a Forgive Affirmed Spirit and this is what I profess and try to act like.

Forgive Affirmed Spirit is the belief in a way of life that is a method of grief resolution and functional communication processing involving active listenning, sympathy, empathy and affirmation of shock, denial, anger, guilt, depression, loneliness and hope...a kind of ego-equilibrium seeking methodology.

A Greater Works of communication and action, a way to learn to love your enemies "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you AS IF YOU WERE THEM!"

And nobody is perfect!  NOBODY!  We are all judgeable, hopefully in a graceful discerning way!   We are all doing our best every moment!

Humans judge everything  as we are a part of it.  Without difference, we have nothing to live for, nothing to witness.  Sin is difference, the relative seriousness with regards to law and survival of other beings, is punishable by the courts. The best way to judge is with as much graceful discernment as one can muster in a given moment!

Life is the question(uncertainty) asked by the exhaling infinitely compacted imagination invention, or no thing, which is completely certain of everything, completely omniscient or all knowing.

When I die, I believe I will be in a new state, aware of all that is and yet divided into the nature of dust that I am in, whereupon my dust shall fall.  My being will remain an infinite part of an infinite being and infinite knowledge without my material human being status of now. So there will be a change.

But my soul, my passions and discompassions, will move on to infinite places of comfort and challenge.  Able to return to this state of uncertainty and free choice illusion for another ride when it is called effectively to do so.

So that the children of God, the creations of God, .. are actually part in parcel of that God or Creation Energy!

This  life is a roller coaster ride. Enjoy your passion within it and whatever gathering of two or more in Forgive Affirmed Spirit to make it better can garner.

Healing be unto you and yours and me and mine in

    Forgive Affirmed Spirit

  4. I think it is part of our natural curiosity as human beings.  Understanding makes acceptance easier.  However, I also believe in the Serenity Prayer:

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

  5. bc everyone want to know that what human brains are trained to do firgue out what has occured

  6. Cats are trained by instinct to look for mice. Humans are trained by instinct to look for patterns.

    And Yahoo saith:

"Tip: Be as specific and detailed as you can. Use any personal experience or knowledge you might have."

"You can use research to help support your answer."

"Hmm...it looks like you have a lot of punctuation."

"Oops! It looks like you have 1 misspelling(s)." The word Hmmm.

"Oops! It looks like you have 2 misspelling(s)."

    "Please correct your spelling."

  7. if we dont have the capacity to understand..we would just like be the animals. would you like to be treated as an animal?

the same way that we need to love and be loved.

  8. Understanding is not a need but a desire. It is when we view anything as a need that it seems to take on an urgency that isn't required. By defining things that are desires as needs, we only bring about emotional suffering. Any perceived need that is considered to be unmet is going to be an unpleasant experience.

I need oxygen to survive. I like to understand people when I speak to them. There are some things that I wish that I understood more than what I do.

Ultimately, knowledge is useless. It is what we do with knowledge that makes a difference. Although, some seem to perceive knowledge in terms of volume. More knowledge seems to carry a certain amount of cachet in society, but I know some very knowledgeable people who can't fight their way out of a wet teabag.

  9. I'm not sure if everyone feels the "need to understand" with the same intensity.  Lots of people are more comfortable than others with uncertainty and grayish areas...also I think some cultures (East vs. West) might approach this differently as well.

Im one of the people though who does always want to analyze and uncover the truth behind everything.  Sometimes though you just have to take a step back and realize that there are certain things, alot of things actually that you can never be sure of and thats not necessarily a bad thing, its just how some things are.  Its good to have a thirst for knowledge so too speak as long as you have some concept of where a line should be drawn.  Its nice to be baffled.  To just accept that some things will always be a mystery.  That feeling too is part of being human.

  10. I believe that it is a sign of intelligence to be curious.  Wanting to know and understand things is a good/positive thing ( for the individual).  I'm sure that our leaders in religion and government wished that people would just follow without question.  How awesome for them would that be?  A bunch of dumb slaves who are blissfully ignorant.

Sorry, but this question was a no brainer!
