I'm 13 and still believe in Santa Claus. I believe that people tell their children that Santa is real because this causes their children to act in a good manor. For example: He knows when you've been sleeping, He knows when you're awake, He knows if you've been bad or good so be good for goodness sake. Please no rude comments. Just Asking.

  1. I tell my son he exists as well as gnomes, trolls, forest trolls, water trolls, cave trolls, goblins, halflings, orcs, minatours, centaurs, ogres, ettins, dwarves, elves, wizards, grey wizards, white wizards, and much much more.

It builds an endless imagination, and stimulates his mind.  In turn he'll have an open mind and explore new ideas for new obstacles.

Norse Mythology is a good way to bond with your child

  2. It is a custom for most people and being a parent myself, I find it is a wonderful thing to see the joy on your child's face when they go to bed on Christmas eve, excited that "Santa" will be coming. I remember being told the truth when I was about nine years old and I was completely crushed...not at the fact that I had been lied to, but at the fact that such a great man was not real. I actually dread having to tell my children when that time comes. By the way, threatening that Santa will not come if your children are misbehaving does not always work! As a parent, I love to play Santa and seeing the excitement on my children's faces (on Christmas day) means everything to me!

  3. To give the child something to believe in. Everyone needs to believe in something to keep their innocense.

  4. Because they will act better.

  5. people don't like to let go, in their eyes a 13 yr old is still only about 5 yrs old.

  6. Because it's fun.  And what little kid can't be bribed around Christmastime to act GOOD especially when you bring up Santa Clauses name!!!

  7. In my opinion, aside from the good manor thingie, it makes the Christmas season more exciting. Kids are kids. They want something to look forward to. When I get a child, I'll do the same thing. It's fun for both of us.

  8. I never told my daughter that Santa was real. I told her the truth so that she would believe me when I told her the truth. Children no longer know the difference between fact and fable, and it's sad when parents lie to their children. They will find out some day that there is no Santa and then start to doubt everything their parents tell them. We played the Santa "game" with my daughter and that made Christmas fun, but she knew the difference between real and story.  She will only hear the truth from her mother and she is a teen now and knows who to talk to when things bother her.

  9. I'm in my 40's and still believe in Santa Claus. Now let me explain...

"Santa Claus" isn't a person, "Santa Claus" is the act of giving.

So I will always believe in Santa Claus, all year around.

  10. Are you saying he's not real?

  11. So KIDS have something fun in their lives.  And get to look forward to Christmas when their to young to understand the religon behind the holiday. Little kids are so cute I love going to the mall and seeing them with Santa!  But, I quit believing in him when I was like six.

  12. Because it's a tradition and people like to continue traditions!

  13. so that they'll be good all year.

  14. idk! there is no santa im sry!there was at one time! jesus is the only magic out there

  15. Well what gets me is that one of the 10 commandments says thou shell not lie.  That comes from the bible.  So why does religion lie about Santa Clause.  He is not real, rain deer can not fly,  a fat person can not fit down a chimney, etc.
