I mean, countries like New Zealand, Australia and South Africa have always been considered as the best rugby teams. Nowadays, Argentina is also considered one. Moreover, these and Fiji are between the eight best teams of the world cup.

  1. Why is Brazil so so good at football? Can anybody answer that? I think it's because of the passion towards the game and because the game is not just treated as just another game.

Maybe the NH countries are involved in so many things, they have forgotten about the basics and innovation.

  2. I would say, because its a religion in NZ and the island nations, Australians are pretty good at any sport, not really sure about South Africa - I'd say its their main sport. In Europe, its soccer first, daylight second when it comes to sport.

  3. Here is NZ record against NH teams to date.

played Wales 23 times.  won 20. lost 3

played Scottland 26 times. won 24. drawn 2

played Ireland 20 times. won 19. drawn 1

played England 29 times. won 22 .drawn 1. lost 6

played France 45 times .won 34. drawn 1. lost 10

played Italy 9 times. won 9

    played Romania 2 .won 2

played The Lions 38 times. won 29 .drawn 3 .lost 6

heres our record against  S.Africa played 72 times. won 40. drawn 3 .lost 29

heres our record against Aust. played 138. won 85. drawn 5. lost 38

played Argentina 13times. won 12 .drawn 1.. New Zealand are far superior not bad for 4million people.GO ALLBLACKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dnt buy into this religion rugby is NEW ZEALAND cause England  France Wales and other NH teams have bigger player base, you just arn't smart or hard enough for it and thats the fact jack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. i think it has to with the fact that aside from argentina the other countries you mentioned are very very bad at football (soccer) and those two sports are kinda all you have down there. Australia has aussie rules football and it is alot like rugby so going through the school system there is like being programed to kick *** at rugby, also rugby is the national sport of new zealand I guess i have no real proof but these are my best explanations

  5. Maybe if the north hemisphere stopped poaching the southern hemisphere players and concentrated on there own players, maybe that would help?

Also helps that we aren't that good at soccer so all our money is spent in rugby or league

  6. The Southern Hemisphere has less of an offseason before the world cup starts so they have enough time to heal, but not enough time to get outta shape.

  7. They are progressing, developing and learning new techniques all the time and play as a team, supporting each other!

Whilst the NH still play the same they did half a century ago, some with the same players!!

  8. because we love contact sport!!!!the sound of bones cracking and the wind taken out of a person with a little sqweel at the end is like music too my ears!!<legally tackled>,,,,,,,,basically we just like too kick the s.....t out of eachother!!!!!.....cant do that in soccer........or tho seeing guys faking injuries is pretty funny!!!!

  9. Its a mystery really cos even tho everyones saying its cos we don't play soccer, but NZ only has 4 million people. Compare that to say England and France, and I can guarantee you the latter have more players. So its not that. We do play more throughout the year, but that can't be the only reason. And it is a religion in NZ, but not so much in Aussie, who are also world champs are cricket, and are obbsessed with league and Aussie Rules. I think us southerners are just more naturally talented. Lets face it, if we tried we'd prob beat you at socca 2.

  10. Because they spend less time and money on their hair gel and more time on playing like men.

  11. Because the water swirls counter clock wise when it goes down the drain in the southern hemisphere.

  12. Well, it is predominantly a winter sport (as far as I'm aware) and down this half of the world winter takes up practically the entire middle third of the year, without interference from Christmas/New Year periods etc.  So basically it's easy to play continuously throughout most of the year down this end of the world.

That and the fact it is probably the most predominant sport in these parts and kids start playing rugby from the moment they can actually run with a ball.  My opinion has always been that Rugby is seen as like the working class/poor man's sport and Football is for the wealthier types (I mean geez, that's relevant when you consider the differences in paychecks betweent the sports).  I think Rugby is more of a peoples sport as opposed to other bigger ones like football, tennis, golf, basketball etc which are predominantly about profit and credibility.

Of course, these are just my own thoughts.
