  1. Well, that is really pretty simple. Serial Killers are just normal people, but they see the world a little different. Serial Killers develop these ideas in their heads. They believe that killing or taking ones life is alright mainly because of their past. Many serial killers, or just plain murderers are quiet and have not many many friends. Their social life is normally very bad, and they have horrible parents or guardians that might be on drugs or alcoholic. My point is that normal people with a normal education living mediocre lives don't suddenly decide to be a serial killer. It takes time and pain to be made into a murderer...

  2. Steven Wright says his childhood was full of violence . But I think it is something they are born with . A desire to control and manipulate . I think they are incapable of forming normal relationships with anybody.

  3. most of the time it's not the becoming, it's just how you were born..

  4. Video games --- A constant diet of violent video games...... Probably no dad in the house and an overtired mom combined with no sense of right and wrong...

  5. I think it stems from problems in their childhood, such as physical or emotional abuse. Some want to hurt others the same way they were hurt in their childhood.

  6. The need to satisfy themselves in a way they've not had before

  7. how long is a piece of string???

to be honest there are some common themes....

    a) restrictive/over-protective parents

    b) introvert/non-sociable

    c) feeling that they need to prove something

    d) feeling of hatred towards a group/society etc

    e) mental disorders, i.e. voices etc

    f) feeling of rejection from society

    g) sexual gratification

    and the list continues,,,

all i can say is there are some messed up people in the world.

  8. How common they are around violence...oh and sexual pleasure ideas....I think that Jeffery dohmer thought of drugging his victim and then having s*x with them, though it turned into dripping acid in there brains and trying to turn them into zombies, though it turned into murder....after the first few kills it just becomes less exciting.

  9. Basically evil.

  10. i beleave its the upbringing that makes a serial killer......

  11. that has a very complex answer.

could have to do with the need for fame. Thie upbringing. The way society has treated them. Their hatred of another group of indivuals. A need to express their emotions.

    the list is endless.

  12. I read something about how they lack the ability to feel stress when they see someone else in stress. It doesn't bother them one bit.

To me that's one aspect of it. I've seen a lot of people like that who are not serial killers. Many of them in the army.

I suppose that that combined with an abusive dad or mom or both can get a kid to think about hurting others from an early age.

They then start practicing with animals, and in a few years they want to see what they can do with a human.

Some of them say they get a kick out of thinking that it's them who will decide when you're going to live and die.

  13. Chemical imbalances, psychological illness.

  14. THEY THINK THEY ARE CLEVER AND WONT GET CAUGHT, AND THEY THINK THEY ARE ABOVE THE LAW, BUT THEY ALWAYS MAKE A c**k UP AND GET CAUGHT THEN SOME LAWYER COMES ALONG AND TRIES GET THEM OFF ? THEY WANT LOCKING UP AS WELL WHEN THEIR CLIENT GOES DOWN THEY SHOULD FOR TRYING TO FREE A GUILTY PERSON

  15. media saturation, society in itself. there are many things we can blame it on but the truth is nobody really knows or wants to take responsibility

  16. quite simply a brain disorder!......

  17. INSANITYYY

    *KILL

  18. There has always been serial killers, it is just that they were never detected prior to new investigatory techniques. That is why it is wrong to say that video games, violent films et al are to blame.

It is the age old argument of nature or nurture. The same argument that applies to people who are successful, also applies to those who kill.

  19. I think that it's almost impossible to link childhood abuse with an adult serial killer.  Far too many children have violent and abusive childhoods but do not turn into serial killers.

I don't think that most serial killers are insane but they do have a kink.  The main thing that seems to link them is that they are loners.  The other thing is that they are selfish and self centred and unable to relate to others.  They cannot understand pain and terror except for the fact that it turns them on because they are inherently sadistic and cruel.  They are also very conceited and think that they are cleverer than anyone else, indeed they seem to have an above average IQ.

They are a terrifying group of people because they have the ability to appear normal to their workmates and colleagues;  whenever one is caught you will always hear absolute amazement from people who kniew them.

  20. There were serial killers long before video games.  Here is an intersting article about psychopaths.  Not all psychopaths are serial killers and I would bet that not all serial killers are psychopaths but I bet the majority are.

  21. It is born in them, they can be Mr nice and can change to Mr Evil.

  22. The are loners who have nothing better to think of... then they see somehting on the news and they want to copy...

  23. It's a culmination of events through life starting usually in childhood with some sort of abuse on a regular basis, which creates a hatred for certain types of people and later in life some people suffer abuse again which triggers a negative thought process...some then go on to take revenge on certain types of people
