I use my MYSPACE page for communication with my family and with my friends. I don't use it for anything else. All 74 peeps that are listed on my page are my friends or local busnesses that I want to keep in touch with.

Saying that about year or more ago I was on a Scottish group site there ( both myself and my husband post there) and some guy starting posting things about me. He grabbed a picture off of myspace and posted it on the site calling me a "tart" which I didn't even know what it was. It was very bizarre and it has forced me to make everything private including no messaging as I got a slew of them in the same nature.

This guy has GF of course that you could planly see. I would say that she is very attractive and weighss from his pics about 300+ pounds. I have NO idea why he would be "stalking" me giving that I am open with the fact that I am a happily married woman in California.. and this man lives thousands of miles away.

I was messaged on Facebook by him just

  1. This is why using the Internet is a double edged sword; on one hand it is a phenomenal technology, on the other, all the wackos in the world suddenly have access to millions of potential victims...cyber stalking is more and more common these days you just have to be careful were and what you post about yourself.

  2. Facebook is a lot of c**p and the worst thing about it.. they even talked about it on the news. you can delete your account but your info will always be there forever.. they won't get rid of it.. you are on there for life.. that shows what a crappy site this is.. and if it is a public website.. then there are always going to be some creeps and not just ordinary people and there is the anonymity of the internet.. he can use fake ID and fake pictures and he can target you just for the fun of it... he could be a computer hacker and from the info you give on facebook and from your pictures he must have singled you out because he found you attractive or he got a problem .. not a mentally disabled person.. but a kind of crazy creepy person who does this for a lark... I would not respond to this.. at all...  ignore it.. This happened to me before as well.. if you are on a public website you get all kind of folks some who are nice and some who are just crazy.. then you got to ignore them... x*x as long as he has no idea where you live you are safe.. forget those comments.. you know what kind of person makes them... xx

  3. Here in the U.S.,most states don't see stalking on the Internet as a crime.

These folks specialize  in  working with local ,county, state, and federal authorities in going after Internet stalkers. Give them a call or leave them an email and let them know what's going on.

  4. That is the point:  these types of personalities:sociopaths, set up a scenario where they can control the emotions of someone else.  I would definitely get the authorities involved because it will escalate and he may get to the point of sending you viruses if you don't answer his demands.

The longer you wait to report, the more control he will emphasis and the situation gets harry for you.
