Why do you think the goverment ups grade boundaries when more students pass A levels finely than past years?

They say the A levels are getting 'easier' yeah Ok how's that? Same courses, how can they become easier? People demand better teachers, better supplies but when the kids pass you blame the course being too 'easy', has it ever occurred that maybe the year just worked hard?

This just supports a Marxist theory, that the government interferes with grade boundaries because there needs to be failures, not everybody can get the best jobs with the best salaries.

It's like say there was a test which I took, than you took than someone else too, and when someone passes it, they say the test got 'easier' which is impossible. it was the same as it was when I took it, it's just not fair.

Perhaps the kids just worked hard for good results and the next year will face more of a challenge with harder to reach boundaries because of their year before.

  1. It's ridiculous.

They must have had a bad experience in the past with A Levels.

They just can't except that people are generally getting smarter and teens are trying harder to get into their university choices.

They've given better teacher, better equipment and resources, and yet when the results improve, they blame it on easy examinations.

I wouldn't be surprised if the government were interfering with grades, because it is a fairly good point that everybody can't have high flying, well paid jobs.

    Sorry for the rant

  2. excuse me but t here is no government involvement in the gradign percentages  with gcse or alevels

each board sets their own levels.

    the questions are standardized.

i can tell u that as i took my exams well over 16 years ago and am a  math teacher now that they really havent changed that much in content or difficult and the rubrics used are pretty much the same.
