  1. Bad things happen at every olympic event; heck, any event for which so many people gather to compete. It's not the same bad news every time, but it's bad news none-the-less. I recall past olympics were bombed, hotages held, boycotts by the U.S. against Russia, etc.

  2. Maybe because of the a**hole judges and their unfair voting on athletes who made such a great job in the competition, hehehe the athletes themselves feel their discriminated on so they retaliate

  3. Its About There Human Rights Over There..They Bring It Up When Olymipics Was on Or Summin But..

I Think They Need To Sort Out Those Cheats ...The Gymnastics Under 16?

And Like the Girl That Wasnt Pretty Enough To Sing..Also The Fireworks??

  4. Fantastic Olympics , Best I have seen in my 40 years on the planet .

    Good job China!

  5. Maybe because the world is going to h**l in a handbasket?

  6. goes along with the overall decline of the human race

  7. the world is turning into c**p at the same time too :) but at least in the olympics, they have the pretty ceremonies.

hayley, you can talk about the chinese gymnasts but the little girl lip syncing isnt all that extraordinary. lip syncing and "you're not pretty enough" happens all the time in the entertainment industry. the fireworks really happened in beijing, but the firework footprints you saw on tv were CGI-ed b/c no one is stupid enough to fly over fireworks and try to take a footage of it.

  8. cause its in china (the tibetan killers)

  9. Some other Olympics were much worse.

  10. Dee, would you say the same thing for the United States and Atlanta? After all, there -was- a bomb set off in the 1996 Olympic Games, killing 14 and injuring 100+, which was held in Atlanta, Georgia, United States of America.

I agree with Jazz Basket. "Bad things happen at every olympic event; heck, any event for which so many people gather to compete. It's not the same bad news every time, but it's bad news none-the-less. I recall past olympics were bombed, hotages held, boycotts by the U.S. against Russia, etc."

Also, NBC has expanded its Olympic coverage, so some of the less popular sports, like wrestling, have gotten more coverage, and therefore, NBC now has more eyes to watch the scenes play out.
