(when it comes to God, or whatever you believe in, or don't believe in)

If you say it's because there is no answer, tell me if you think it would still be possible if there was one.

thanks :)

  1. Because no one human being has the infinite wisdom to say what a "right" or "wrong" opinion is.

  2. I believe because God gave us that right.  But that right is more like a curse if you think about it.

Back in the Garden of Eden we didn't really have a choice. They knew God was there, they had perfect complete bliss in a paradise with the spirit of love surrounding them. Pretty intense if you think about it.  But they did have a choice to eat of the forbidden fruit - the fruit that gave them knowledge....opened them up to what God sees.

And from then on - just as His angels had a choice - we were given that choice as well.

Many "why's" can be answered with one phrase - Because God made it so.

  3. ...as individuals we have a freedom to choose our own path if not fall in line like a herd of sheep and follow the leader...YOUR CHOICE...

  4. maybe the answer is in your question, because we can, think, question and reason

  5. God gave free will to all people to choose as they will while on earth. once there were only three religions on earth. these were

          1. Paganism

          2. Judaism

          3. Catholism

people who did not believe in these three religions decided to form their own religions using bits and pieces of these religions to form newer religions. they were able to do this because God gave them free will to choose as they wanted to.

  6. We are "allegedly" allowed to believe whatever we want because society has developed a distrust of reason and logic. You may think you are allowed to think (or believe for those who think faith is actually justified belief) what ever you want, but you cannot deny facts. As far as god goes, everyone has a belief, but it's really a hunch.

  7. True... free to believe is different from what the truth may be

This give a choice for the wise to believe in truth and other dogmatic persons to believe in what they think to be real...

  8. There is a little thing i like to call free will no man can hold you back from that.

  9. In order to truly understand anything we need to start at the beginning. The First Source and Center is infinite as well as eternal and is therefore limited or conditioned only by volition, His choices.

We are because He is. Mind transforms the values of spirit into the meanings of intellect; volition has power to bring the meanings of mind to fruit in both the material and spiritual worlds. Physical energy is the one reality which is true and steadfast in its obedience to universal law. Only in the areas of our choosing  has there been change from the divine paths and the original plans. What God has set in motion we change with our minds so that it is more to our liking.

We cannot choose beyond the range of that which is choosable. We cannot, for instance, choose to be other than a human being except that we can elect to become more than what we are; we can choose to embark upon the voyage of universe ascension, but this is because our choice and the divine will happen to be together upon this point.

In our life, paths of differential conduct are continually opening and closing, and during the times when choice is possible our personality is constantly deciding between these many courses of action. Our volition is linked to time, and it must await the passing of time to find opportunity for expression. Spiritual volition has begun to taste liberation from the restraints of time, having achieved partial escape from time sequence, and that is because spiritual volition is self-identifying with the will of God.

No one can make us choose other the what we want, not even God will make us choose Him.
