Why do you turn into a vampire after one bites you?

Maybe in mythology they might say it is a demon, the injections of vampire fluids that turns you into a vampire, or my theory is that it is a virus.

If one bites you they curse your blood and make it kill you unless you drink the blood of the vampire who bit you.

The movies tend to leave that bit out --cept Dracula - Love (or romance) never dies. :D

The only real vampires are bats. When they suck the blood from a cow, no cow has ever turned into a vampire. There are people that claim they are vampires, but they also walk around in the day time and you don't need a wooden stake to kill them. They also like to dress as a vampire, but since there are no human vampires, how do they know how a vampire dresses? It's pure mythology.
