Why would a person want to join Social work? Or join a NGO?

  2. For anyone to truly get involved in social work it actually takes a lot of humility. Many are called but only some are chosen. To be able to help and know that what you have done has somehow touched or changed someone else's life is a rewarding experience. No words can express that feeling.

Well you don't actually "join" social work.  Social work is a profession that you seek education and training in.  Social work is the primary profession for producing social change through work at a multi-system, multi level interventions.  Not all social work positions are NGO - some are governmental and some are private.
