  1. gravity i think over there u float so u weight less

  2. theres less gravity

  3. Your mass is constant.  What you weigh depends on the force of gravity.  The Earth is much larger than Pluto so you weigh more.

  4. Gravity.

Gravity is a force exerted by anything upon anything else.  It diminishes over distance, it's the weakest of the four fundamental forces in nature, but it's always there.

Any mass will attract any other mass.  The more mass, the bigger the attraction.  So, with the earth being more massive than Pluto, the mass of the earth's pulls you towards its center with great gravitational force then Pluto mass would.  But, think about this, even though the earth is holding on to you, Pluto--as well as EVERYTHING else in the universe is also pulling on you too.  You even exert gravity on things like your desk, computer and monitor.  The reason they don't come flying at you is that the earth pulls them down more than you pull them towards you.

  5. The surface gravity on Pluto is less than on Earth.  So the value for g is less on Pluto than on Earth.  Your weight is calculated with W = m g, where m is your mass in kg.  Your mass doesn't depend on gravitational forces acting on you.  It would be the same on Earth, on the moon, on Mars, or on Pluto.  But you weight depends on the pull of the gravitational body you are on.

  6. We weigh more on earth than we would on pluto because we are closer to the sun. The sun is what causes gravity. The further away from the sun you are the less you would weigh. If we could survive on mercury we would weigh even more.

  7. I dont know

  8. The earth is larger than Pluto and has more mass than Pluto, and so generates more gravity. The weight of an object is dependent on the gravity pulling on it.

  9. you weigh more on earth. weight is the amount of force gravity has on you. so larger the planet, obvously the more mass it has, and therefore gravity on that planet is stronger. because pluto is smaller than the earth, and thus has less gravitational pull.

  10. Pluto doesn't have a very large amount of mass when compared to earth, so it's gravity is not as strong. Your weight on earth is really how much gravity is working on your body at one time, so with less gravity, less weight.
