im 18 and i had my son at 17 and alot of my old friends are my age or a little older and have babies and still go out partying...when i had my son my life changed and when i did it ment he is my life and i do everything for him it also ment no more parties,no more getting drunk,no more thinking about just myself.

but when i look at my friends and other young parents all i see is selfcentered a**holes who would rather be out getting drunk then at home making sure their child is well taking care of!!!!

what is wrong with some of these teenagers having babies and not taking care of them!!!

  1. I think you answered your own question.  They were teenagers and not ready for responsibility.

Good for you with how you are doing things.

  2. I had my son at 17 also and do the same as you, but I see a lot of people with babies in their 20s that party too much also, i dont think it is just teenagers

  3. You answered your own question, and could not have answered it any better. Teenagers should not be having children.

Some parents in their early 20s also have similar habits. Plain and simple, people should not be having children unless they are ready to take on the responsibility.

  4. i got pregnant with my first at age 17, and my life changed, i recently turned 21 and i couldnt go out and do anything bc im 21 weeks pregnant, but even if i wasnt id rather be home with my daughter watching movies and laying on the couch together, she comes before anyone and anything! I dont know why people go out and party when they have children to look after, once in a while isnt bad but all the time isnt right, i guess some people arent ready to have kids, and arent ready to have such a big, responsibility.

    Its good that youve changed!!!

  5. not all teenagers are ready to have kids and just because they have had them doesnt make them matured or adults yet

they were never ready and stil want there freedom as teens

they are still learning about themselves and hopefully in time they will see that they are wasting precious memmories on things that dont really matter

but you were one of the lucky ones who could see just how important your child is

  6. Honestly I had my first kid at 25 and I had 25 yr old friends who did this. It is very sad that people still choose this life once they are parents.

  7. You just gave an answer to a question that was just asked about young people having children.

You're not the normal teenager with children.

A lot of times after the baby is born and the young parents see how much their lives are going to change they realize maybe this wasn't a good idea.

There's no more partying and hanging out.....or at least there shouldn't be anymore.

  8. It isn't just young parents. Almost all parents want to "hang out", or have "me" time constantly.

I personally think it's ridiculous and discusting. A mom's place is at home with her kids...plain and simple. Not out partying, or tramping around, or at the salon/tanning beds, shopping, ect. all the time.

Prime example is this question right here:(how could anyone hate being a mom, and being with their kid!)

Personally i have been away from my oldest for 14 hours total since she was born. She will be 4 years old on Nov.2nd. Those 14 hours were for the following reasons:

10 hours at the hospital for a surgery.

2 hours for a business metting twice. (after having 2 of them, I realized she could come for a home closing, or a car purchase).

My son is 7 months old, and hasn't been away from me at all.

Of course sometimes my husband will take one of them to the grocery store with him if he goes by himself or something.

My daughter even stayed at the hospital with my husband and I when I had our son. Even though we had a family member at our house. We like to be with our kids. We didn't have them to push off on someone else.
