  1. Your skin absorbs water, and expands, creating wrinkles.


  2. Osmosis - the water in your hand is purer than the water in which you are immersed so the water will flow from your hand into the surrounding water, which results in the pruny look.

    LESS water in your hand gives it the pruny look.
