Why do your parents (or older people in general) seem to be more and more ignorant as you grow?

(Btw, I am not talking about the teen-aged rebellious years and not all parents, just older adults in general.) Don't get me wrong, I know many adults who I consider intelligent, fairly including my parents. Though at times and as I get older, they are becoming less and less "all-knowing" and just regular ignorant and slow people. Is this normal for the younger generation, overall, to be sharper than the older?

Secondly, ignorant means to be uneducated.  So what you said translated becomes "regularly uneducated"

What makes you think the younger generation is sharper than older folks?  What is the reason behind your question?

Its a a cycle Dear. U'll become like your parents when u get older. See yourself in them. And think about your kids asking the same Question about u. Its life dear. It goes on and on and on and on........................
