Why doe Saudi Arabia spend so much mony on defense?

why does saudi arabia spend billions and billions on dollars onn defense when there is no threat to thei national security. no country includin israel would attack them. who are they scared of?

There's this thing they got called OIL, and they've got a whole bunch of it. Maybe they don't want anybody else to take it away. So if you've got a big army people will think twice before trying. Duh.
