I think it's because she's a L*****n, regardless of whether she's unattractive, he's not her "type".  I'm (enthusiastically) proud of him and what's he has done but he would get the paper bag.

I always thought Amanda Beard was ugly myself. Michael Phelps may be a little dorky looking but he is not a bad catch.

The "EWW" comment could be taken as a joke. I don't know. But thats not what bothers me. What bothers me is when this broad had to really hammer it in by adding "Come on, I have really good taste. He's really not my type." Good taste, huh? He is better looking than you.

Amanda Beard does not deserve to represent America. She is an awful awful human being. Michael Phelps is a Great American and is someone that kids can look up to.

Amanda Beard is hot...didnt she pose for Playboy a while back?  Swimmers have some of the best bodies, but I'd be happier if Mike went out with Natalie Coughlin instead of Amanda Beard...Nat's HOT HOT HOT!

Ahaha ur right.  I saw a pic of her online and her gums are big and her smile is kinda scary actually.  She may be uh..."pretty" with her make up and stuff but on a regular daily basis she scares me.  But yeah, she has no right to say ew to actually anybody when asked that question, especially not a famous gold medalist like phelps.

Actually I read that she said that he was not "really her type, personally" and that they don't talk.  so i don't think she thinks of him as anything then.  But it was really rude of her to say that.

I know she is ugly in every sense of the word. And to Black Holes Make Me Hot make up, lighting, airbrushing, and photoshop can make anybody look good. DO NOT let the magazine covers fool you, so much c**p has been done to her pictures she probably cant even tell its her. And even with all that hard work put into her pictures she is still ugly.

And Playboy will ask anyone to pose for them, they do not care how you look because makeup and airbrushing will make you look 100x better.
