Why does America give Billions of $ to Israel?

We burrow the money from them to give them foreign aid. How about constitutional amendment that NO foreign aide can be given unless we have no national debt and a balanced budget.

Because we are obligated by treaty (The Camp David Accords) to supply Israel and Egypt with the exact same amounts of foreign aid.

If we cut foreign aid to Israel - we would have to do the same to Egypt.

George L--That is the most preposterous thing I've ever heard!  I am a Jew, and an American and I don't have duel citizenship with Israel!  In fact the only Jews I know with duel citizenship were either born in Israel or immigrated .  What an ethnically racist thing to say!  Very ignorant!  American Jews consider themselves to be AMERICAN and are very active voters!

The answer to the question is that America gives Billions of $$ to many nations to get them to do what we want.  We publicly withhold monies when they don't do what we want, but still often give them money under the table.  Many, many countries owe us trillions of $$ that we will never see again!
