Why does America want to establish permanent military bases in Iraq ?

to have a military presence in the middle east.  you know the old saying, "keep your friends close but your enemies closer".  it's advantegous.. you know, "location, location, location".

For several reasons.....1) The world is beginning to have its wars for resources and our achilles heal is oil.  Our country covers a lot of land and our economy requires a lot of movement so oil is critical to maintain its continuity.  2)  Saddam dropped the U.S. dollar as payment and switched to the Euro for payment (REAL reason for the war). The U.S. immediately switched payments back to the dollar after the invasion.  The U.S. will stay in order for the new Iraqi government to not be tempted to switch back to the Euro.  3)  To be a key player in middle east affairs, which means to also not allow Iran to be a bigger player in middle east affairs.  There is no tangible info to prove Iran is pursuing the bomb but they are playing on our fears to justify another invasion.  Why does the U.S. not like Iran?  Because Iran is very independent and they also prefer the Euro & basket of currencies and not the U.S. Dollar.  I am NOT pro-Iran but lets cut the bull....  

The U.S. fears that if the dollar is dropped from being the international currency for petroleum then the value will continue to drop dramatically and cause stegflation in the U.S.....which will devastate the U.S. economy.

In the event of the need for military action in the middle east.  It gives us a staging area.  We have bases all over the world for this purpose.

Iran and Syria are next for military action.  The base is there to act as a focal point for the military.

The USA, and Israel, want to control the Middle East.
