Why does Australia mock Great Britain?

I've only seen it twice but its been quite harsh words, doesn't Aussie like us anymore?

Complete rubbish, i am from the UK and now live in Australia, its nothing like that at all they only had a referendum about it a few years ago and the public voted to stay in the commonwealth and keep the Queen as head of state. So your friend obviously has an Irish bitter back ground.

Without going to war over it...... well thats very gracious of your friend, if Britain and Australia went to war i doubtt it would last a day never mind a week also at a guess i would say around 70% of Australians are from British decendancy.

Tell your mate to take that huge chip of his shoulder.
