I have noticed ads from Bank of America in certain Yahoo! Answers groups that often have answers saying not to patronize Bank of America. For example, there are often answers from users (including me) who say that Bank of America mistreated them and that other users should not open accounts there. Why would Bank of America want to fund this site through their advertising? Would it not be better for them if Yahoo did not receive enough advertising revenue to continue Yahoo Answers? Since the advertising revenue goes to the Yahoo company, which does not answer the questions, and not to the users who do answer, no one has any incentive to give nicer answers in return for the advertising revenue. So why does Bank of America help pay for the cost of us criticizing them?
