  1. There is yet to be any proof he knowingly used steroids, he's the Homerun King, and overall the greatest player of all time.  Thumbs down me all you want, it's true.

  2. I can't stand Barry Bonds, but for the sake of this I'll take his side...

He's not the only player to have done steroids. There are definitely players in the Hall already that have taken steroids. Bonds is arguably the best player to have used steroids. Before he started taking performance-enhancing drugs, he was still a really good player. He may be an *sshole, but he wasn't the only cheater of his era. The MLB should have been stricter with testing for over a decade, but the fact is they weren't. With his numbers, he needs to be allowed in. Once there, people can take it for what it is.

  3. He doesn't because he cheated and he is a jerk.

  4. ha! HA! THAT CREEP, BUM, CHEAT, AND CRIMINAL? h**l NO! HE USED DRUGS TO GET RECORDS AND DESERVES TO BE IN JAIL! AND IT MIGHT JUST HAPPEN WITH INDICTMENTS COMING UP! ANYONE WHO LIKES BARRY BONDS IS A LOSER AND CREEP!

  5. first let me preface my comments by saying I despise Barry Bonds, and beleive him to be a steroid user, who cheated his way to the homerun title; the most prestigous of all sports records.  Not to mention his attitude towards fans, the media, players and teammates.

He is no doubt one of the game's greatest hitters. 26% of his career hits have gone yard, only guy in history (i think) to have 400 hr and over 400 steals. With or without the use of performance enhancing drugs, its still takes a great amount of ability to hit that many hr's and that many steals, and be as good as a player as he was/is.

if barry can be elected to the hall of fame, than pete rose does too.

  6. I really don't care as long as * is next to his name.

He deserves like *********************, but one'll due

  7. Depends on how you view the steroid era.  What if they elect someone, but don't elect Bonds, then we find out that the player used steroids, do we kick them out?

Bonds was a great player before steroids.

If I had a vote, I would discount his performance while under the influence and still see enough performance to vote him into the HOF.

Anyone who used after the 'crackdown', (LOL) I would dismiss totally.

  8. he doesnt lol

  9. I never listen to the negative answerers, fake fans, haters and bandwagoners that cry about "cheating", "being a cancer", "disgracing baseball", "asterisks", "hating Barry" or claiming that steroids do help with performance in baseball.  Those people are not true baseball fans and don't belong here speaking bad about our beloved sport.

They never met Barry or even knew him, they act like they live with him, act like they commute with him, eat dinner with his family or sleep in the same bed to know so much about Barry.....

I was fortunate to have met him in my neighborhood (San Mateo/Foster City, CA), where his old dr. practiced, inside the locker rooms of Candlestick and AT&T Park, as well as where I work (EA Sports).  He is not like what the media slanders him to be like.  He's down-to-earth, will shake your hand, sign autographs freely, takes the time to chat with you, does not crave attention, is not an angry person and does not walk aroung like he's God.

His personality does not count for induction, but his performance and skill does, even before he was using those substances.  They did not help him because steroids weaken your bone structure, they ruin your eyesight so that you cannot see the ball pitched to you, they make your muscles too tight where you cannot pitch a ball or swing a bat and it ruins your psyche and makes you paranoid and angry, so that you cannot even wake up to go to the ballpark every day.  Barry Bonds never showed or displayed those symptoms!

Barry Bonds is a 1st ballot inductee to the MLB HOF and when that happens, I'll laugh at the haters, because based upon their answers here, it looks like they will cry or commit suicide when that day comes!

  10. he doesnt...

  11. He doesnt. If Rose cant get in, he surely shouldnt either. The pompous, arrogant, self abasorbed, selfish, egotistical, self righteous, over rated, pill popping  bumb.  UGH, how I loathe him.

  12. I personally think he shouldn't be allowed. It's so unfair.

  13. outside of the steroids he was still one of the best players of all time.  i think the homern record is tainted but the years before the steroids arent.  take off the last 6 years and he still was it takes to be in the HOF

  14. NO, because he cheated with stearoids.

  15. just let me say that i am not a giants fan at all but i think he should be allowed into the hall of fame because steroids don't make you see or hit the ball .. which means he connected with 756 balls that he could lift out. He also WAS a good runner

  16. because he's the greatest home run hitter in the history of baseball until they can prove that he cheated...and they may never be able to even though almost everyone around him and every baseball fan knows that he did

  17. He does because Its a whole bunch of players in the HOF used drugs so y cant he get in
