Why does Bella deny Edward's propasal in New Moon? (no spoilers please)?

I know she doesn't actually deny it, she just doesn't say that she accepted it or anything...

BECAUSE SHE HATES HIM. IN BREAKING DAWN, SHE KILLS HIM ONCE SHES CHANGEDD INTO A VAMP AND SHE MARRIES JAKE

Her parents married young and ended up regretting it. So her mom's always talked about it being a bad idea for anyone. Therefore Bella's been raised to shudder at the thought.

Because she believes only young foolish people get married at her age, and shes always thought of herself as mature.

Plus shes scared of what her mum might say as her mums always taught her that marriage should be taken seriously.

because bella was always influenced by her mum and dad's marriage when they were young which resulted to their separation so she was always told by her mother that one can't marry young and immature

so it was not in her top one agenda to marry young

second reason is that edward took her off guard and she got so surprised by his proposal that she refused without thinking like an act of swift reflex action that she didn't mean to actually deny it

third is about why edward had made such a proposal it is becuase he is from old (means to say old fashioned) and he has like traditions of marriage and relationships..

forth reason why she hadn't said yes was that he had just returned and she saw it like a repayment for him leaving her which was unfair and she still hadn't forgiven him for doing so
