Why does Bill want to help Obama--?

I'm just wondering what this is about? I didn't read the article- What did you pick up from it?

Bill and Hillary are Democrats, very prominent and well liked ones.  As such they are team players and will do what it takes to convince as many people as necessary that Obama will make a decent president.

If they didn't do that the press would have a field day calling them angry and bitter.  

So they are appearing with Obama in Hillary's case, and leaving themselves open to being asked in Bills case to do more.  For myself, I am too disgusted with the way the Democrats caved and tossed Hillary to the wind.  

I'm voting for Obama, but keeping my money in my pocket and not donating to his campaign.  Nor will I do anything else to support him.  I have no enthusiasm for his candidacy at all, it just a matter of any Democrat is better right now than any Republican.

I don't think Bill, if you mean Bill Clinton, does want to help him. His support was only 1 sentence and wasn't very enthused.

He is "supporting" Obama because he wants to still be considered a team player.  Therefore, when Obama loses in the fall, he wants to be able to call on the powers to be in the Democrat Party to support Hillary in 2012.  That way, he can regain some of his girl-magnet powers derived from a perceived position of power.  Just remember, whatever Bill Clinton does, it is always for his own interests and not for those of the country.

He realizes, as most citizens do, that a Bush3 administration would be disasterous. So he's supporting the alternative.

Obama would be wise not to turn his back.  Bill will have helped him over a cliff if he does.

Seriously, I think Bill and Hill only intend to help him enough to seem like they are being good guys.  It will look better for Hillary if she seemed like a good loser when the 2012 election comes around.
