Why does Bollywood copy so much from Hollywood and still say that they are better.?

even the name "Bollywood" was copied from "Hollywood"

Couldnt they be more original.

  4. i think its because Hollywood attract a wider range people willing to pay to watch their films where as with Bollywood films only most Asian or multilingual people would watch them  and may only attract a small audience of people who dont understand the language,

    I saw Partner which is a total copy of Hitch and now it looks like Bollywood are going to be making a copy of The wedding crashers. atleast theyre taking permission before hand though - Hollywood doesnt have a problem.

  5. Honestly I don't like bollywood stuff,the only non English stuff that I'm into is some of those Chinese kick as* kung fu stuff or  anime.

    Bollywood from what I heard and seen in trailers etc are mostly based on Hollywood.I heard they also did a remake of something like E.T.

    But in the end Bollywood will win coz India has the largest film Industry and the highest number of  moviegoers.
